I think with all the cap the Falcons cleared up signing Moore should be no big deal. Getting Grimes on a one year deal would be a nice addition as well. _________________

| the primary reason all these guys were released was to free up cap space so we can retain Moore/Baker/possibly grimes. Am I the only one who is excited we released these guys? I'm so excited to see the moves we make and am equally as happy that we aren't just standing still. Abe was a great falcon, yes, but he wasn't getting any younger. Turner - well nothing needs to be said about him. We all saw that coming. And Robinson was not that great, he had a better year last year, but not good enough to justify his contract. I'm so excited for Free agency and the draft, and even more excited for this season! |

No he wants to come back to Missouri and play with the Rams. He wants to test the market. You guys can take Jackson we bring Moore back to his home state Missouri! _________________

| Well, the reports were right. ATL did not use the tag and unless we work out a deal by the 12th... he'll be gone just like Lofton. |

Moore leaving would actually hurt, unlike Lofton leaving. _________________

Why do you question the cuts? All were necessary for cap space. If Moore wants to be in Atlanta, then he will sign. TD isnt going to shaft him. Why do you think we made the cuts anyway? _________________

I'm actually really surprised we didn't franchise Moore. The price tag for Safeties actually seemed pretty reasonable to me. I'd pay Moore 6 mil to play next year, considering he actually plays 16 games for once. _________________

If we could get him for a similar deal that Decoud got it would be an absolute steal IMO. I don't think we get him that cheap, but I do think we get a little hometown discount. _________________

no way we get him as cheap as decoud imo.. him wanting to "test" the open market means he wants to see what he is worth coming off a pro bowl season to command as much as he can get. i know for a fact when he hits FA teams will be chomping at the bit to sign him and offer him quite a nice contract. Falcons will have to match that/pay more or he wont be in red and black next season. |

I'm thinking he gets 4 years, $20 million at an absolute minimum. That's probably a hometown discount. If we haven't signed him before the 12th, he'll get even more. On the open market, 5 years, $30-35 million.
He certainly isn't showing his cards. It sounds like he's prepared to move on if it means more money. I'll admit, I'm really worried. Our defense wasn't great last year and we could lose some of our best players on top of that. If we try to patch it up in free agency, we'll end up over paying for guys who may be on the decline already. |
