My Mock Offseason:
Cuts
Harvey Dahl – $4,000,000
Wayne Hunter – $4,000,000
Matthew Mulligan – $725,000
Steven Jackson (Voided Contract) – $7,000,000
Players Resigned
DE William Hayes
DT Jermelle Cudjo (RFA)
Free Agent Signings
OG Andy Levitre
WR Brandon Lloyd
NFL Draft
1a) WR Tavon Austin - West Virginia
Not sure if he will last until pick #22 after his combine performance.
1b) TE Tyler Eifert - Notre Dame
2) FS Eric Reid - LSU
3) OT Chris Faulk - LSU
4) LB Jon Bostic - Florida
5) SS Shamarko Thomas - Syracuse
6) TE Michael Williams - Alabama
7) WR Marcus Davis - Virginia Tech
This offseason strengthens most our areas of need. Austin and Eifert are playmakers for Bradford. Our TE core has a lot more potential with this draft. If we can add Lloyd for a relatively cap friendly deal it would be a upgrade over what Gibson did for us and I expect to Quick and Givens to improve. Austin would replace Amendola in the slot.
Rams Depth Chart

LG: Levitre
C: Wells, Barnes
RG: Watkins vs Smith vs Washington
RT: Faulk, Barksdale

MLB: Laurinaitis, Hull
SLB: Bostic vs Williams vs Brown
CB1: Finnegan, Johnson

I like it, except cutting Dahl and replacing him with LeVitre. Why does everyone think he is an upgrade? _________________

People will say they dont like Eifert at 22, but I wouldnt mind it.
I also like that you fit Bostic in there. _________________

Younger and not coming off an injury. Levitre plays LG and was great last season. He even played LT a couple years ago when Buffalo's was injured.
Given Dahl's age who knows if he comes back from his injury at the same level he was prior. |

That is my thinking too. Patterson will go top 10 in my opinion and I don't know if Austin would last from 17 to 22 if we pass on him at 16. So my thinking is take Austin at 16 and Eifert should more than likely be available at 22. Both weapons that could help Bradford their rookie years. Something Patterson may not be able to do as much given only one year at Division 1 football.
Eifert is a big TE with a lot of athletic ability that would impact defensive matchups especially in the red-zone. |

| Not everyone on this board likes Eifert at 22 but I think having a TE like him could really help Bradford take the next step. |

meh, I don't see why we would take Eifert over a guy like Cooper.
I love Austin but also don't see why we'd cut Dahl. Also have no interest in Brandon Lloyd and see absolutely no way Shamarko makes it to round 5. |

Why wouldn't you be interested in Lloyd?? He was our leading reciever and was targeted by Sam 117 times in the time he was with us. It is clear Sam liked him and anyone that Sam likes I like. So I would like to see him back. _________________
