Interesting group of players. Not a single TE on the list though. F/A perhaps?? _________________

Could just be a smokescreen. This is the time of misinformation and deceit. |

I have to admit I am somewhat intrigued with Porter. He was a guy whose stock has taken a bit of a dip, production went down a bit this season. I'm just wondering what round we'd see him available at. The fact that he's a bit of a tweener is really intriguing. Last year, McClellin, this guys seems a bit in the same groove. The other curious thing about that list is the disparity in the lists for teams. Anyone see the ravens list? About three times the guys on ours'. Is this just because we keep things tighter to our sleeves?
I'm thinking it must be. With the thorough work that Emery put in before deciding on a coach, I'd like to think he's meeting with all kinds of guys.
There's just so much we could do with this pick. I've noticed the T. Austin talks picking up a bit. I'm definitely not mad, but at this point, with no FA, it would be a luxury pick. Although I do agree with a lot of what people are saying along the line of "you need as many weapons as you can get". This is true and becoming truer in this league. Becoming more a chess game where you see teams taking players at positions they seem ok at, just because theyre looking ahead and because of the value of that position.
Buttt, that being said. OUr Oline needs work and we need to finally give Cutler the chance to be the guy we traded for. It starts up front. The problem is, the guys expected to go to the first are al grouping themselves near the top of the class. They all had nice combines really. And Cooper, as much as OGs tend to fall come draft day, has been gaining steam. The skilled players group isnt as outstanding or deep. It may give us the chance to sneak in a dynamic guy like Austin and then look toward the depth of the oline class later on. Maybe a guy like Long, Warford hopefully, Jones, Armstead (becoming less likely), MIlls. _________________

| Did we draft anyone we met with last year? I certainly don't remember any talk about McClellin.
If this list shows anything it is that they are looking at OL with one or more of their top 3 picks, RB after that, DB. Goard would be nice in the sixth.
Is this list comprehensive? Do the Bears have to tell anyone anything officially? |

Put me on the 'Anyone but Fluker at 20' bandwagon.
Its too bad, I like the kid quite a bit - but not at 20. There will be too much value still available to draft the #6 OL. _________________

Maybe in your eyes..but for all we know Phil Emery can have Fluker rated as one of the better o-line prospects in this year's draft. _________________

This is the known list of prospects that the Bears have met with. I'm willing to bet that they already have or will have met with at least three to four dozen more players before this process is all over. Remember, each team was allowed to interview up to 60 players throughout the NFL Combine. _________________

Clearly. I can only speak for myself, as I don't work in an NFL front office. I would attach an 'IMO' to everyone of my posts - but I just assume it is implied.
IMO Fluker isn't worth the 20th pick. IMO there will be better value at other positions at 20 if 5 OL have already been drafted. IMO the Bears will be better served drafting one of those other values.
If Emery has Fluker rated as top 15 prospect and he is there at 20 - then by all means i hope the Bears stay true to their board and draft him. _________________
