Our 2nd rounder, 3rd rounder, and next years 1st rounder. Might have a potential deal in the works. It has us winning by 55 value, but the player we are getting would make a huge impact to our team right away, and his potential is also limitless. Just look at our depth chart and consider what he would do for our team. FFMD wise we are giving up just two picks that we can use. |
When you're picking #1, trading a future 1st is a bad deal. _________________

Not when you know you are going to be picking much higher the next year because of the moves you made in the offseason along with doing the trade that we would be doing by doing this deal. It's like we have to give up our 1st rounder to make it less valuable
Reid would also cream his pants if we acquired Q-02 in real life _________________ Sigbet with El Ramster; OKC wins title = I win. IND wins title = he wins. |

Any Chiefs fans want to weigh in on the trade? Last chance... |

I pulled the trigger on the trade and drafted Cordarelle Patterson. This kid is the next Julio Jones and after losing Bowe our receiving corps looked atrocious. Can't have our franchise QB working with that. So we gave him the clear #1 WR prospect in this years class to develop with. Patterson is the total package. Geno, Charles, and Patterson will be an unstoppable trio as long as Geno plays well. As far as the trade we gave up our 2nd, 3rd, and next years 1st to get him. We still won value wise by 55 points and I know some of you may not be fans of the deal (I could be wrong on that) but I didn't see any combination of a 2nd and 3rd round pick having an impact that Patterson is going to have for us. I know losing the future 1st sucks but it is FFMD and the value of the future 1st round pick drops significantly. The value is dropped down to the LAST pick in the 2nd round since the picks will never be seen anyways.
When I first floated the idea of trading up it was more like moving up 10 picks or so to get Tavon Austin or maybe Kevin Minter or a player along those lines. I didn't expect Patterson to fall as far as he did (thought he'd get drafted somewhere between picks 5-10) and didn't expect us being able to get a decent deal for him. _________________ Sigbet with El Ramster; OKC wins title = I win. Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
After losing Dwayne Bowe in free agency and not getting any other top level WR free agent to take his place, WR became a huge need for the Chiefs. After drafting Geno Smith 1st overall, WR remained a need as we don't want to let our franchise QB down by not providing him with viable receiving options.
We now have our offensive trio in place. Geno Smith, Jamaal Charles, and Cordarrelle Patterson. Patterson is a freak of an athlete who still needs to become more polished. But his talent level alone will allow him to become an impact player immediately and step in as our #1 WR. Welcome to KC, Cordarelle.

Sorry I didn't get to chime in. That was a lot to give up for a guy with quite a few questions about how he'll play in the NFL. This class is very deep at WR, and we could have gotten someone with nearly similar potential much later.
I agree with the need, and the target, but giving up those two picks this year, plus next year's first is a lot considering the guys we could have gotten at #34. _________________

Also just found out that we signed TE Ben Watson. Should be a good TE to pair with Moeaki for next season. _________________ Sigbet with El Ramster; OKC wins title = I win. IND wins title = he wins. |

If I knew who Q2 even was, I'd be able to offer an opinion, lol. _________________

I would not support that trade whatsoever in real life, but this is FFMD. Who freaking cares about next year's first? _________________
