The niners committed a trade with chiefs Alex smith for a 2nd rd pick this year and a 2014 mid round pick

A few things this tells me..

1. Smith went for a price that I certainly would not have wanted to pay..

2. This pretty much ensures an OT going #1..

3. Geno Smith being available at #8 is a real possibility.. Personally, I do not want to take him, but the possibility is there..

I think that we will take Geno if the Cardinals pass on him.

I'd honestly rather take a risk with Geno than trade for Alex Smith. Envisioning our offense with him is much more exciting than the other options (Alex Smith or Fitzpatrick).

I still think the bills should cut fitz to clear up future cap space. Draft a qb and run the risk of landing one on the 1st or 2nd rd. The good news is 1 less team that needs a qb early in the draft.

I honestly feel BAD for Chiefs fans at this point. This was supposed to be the year of years where they finally take a QB in the first, and they just end up taking another crappy vet retread to be mired in this hellish pit of mediocrity we Bills fans can relate too all too well.
