Don't think we'll cut Gocong.
Like your free agency signings, but would prefer Toler over Cox.
Love the trade down, but would take Ansah there.
Hatethe idea of drafting Hunt, especially so early. I don't think he's worth more than a 5th.
Sims seems little early, but I do like him.
Simon would be pretty good value in round 4. Can see him developing into a good ILB, a la Tedy Bruschi.
Mathieu and Gordon in the same locker room? Somebody get the visine and air freshener.
Wort wouldn't be needed. Even if you cut Gocong, which I don't see us doing, there are still enough nickel linebackers on the roster (Fort, Robinson).
Punter in the 6th? I'd be surprised if we wait that long. Good pick.
Boren as a FB/ST demon interests me. Might even give him some looks at linebacker. |

Actually Opticon A and Febreeze work the best....and NagChumpra for the rest of the room.... _________________ -A team is built through the Draft.

That locker room would be extra smokey...
And I do think we are going to end up cutting Gocong if the rumors of us wanting to start Jackson-Johnson inside. I don't think Johnson is ready to be a full time ILB yet, but the team appears to think that he is. This would make Gocong a ridiculously expensive backup...so therefore, cut ties. Spend the cap room elsewhere. |

Cutting him would not free up much cap space.
His extension had $8M in guarantees, and he made $4.8M last year. That leaves $3.6M to pay out versus his $4.8M cap hit this year.
I don't think $1.2M will net any free agent of significance. Certainly not a veteran LB like Gocong .
Next year is a different story, unless he somehow by some miracle outplays the contract this year. |

I like the trade down, but I agree with ditch. In that scenario Ansah and Milliner would fall to us and I think we need to pull the trigger on one of them. Especially if you we're planning on using your newly acquired second round pick on Hunt. No more old rookies please.
I also typically don't like mocks that have Mathieu in them. Aside from the character issues, I just don't see how yet another nickel CB helps us. _________________ "If you can't stand the neural activity, than stay out of the neural activator" -Professor Fink
