I know FB isn't the most pressing of issues at Valley Ranch, but if the Boys decide to cut Vickers for a cap space, is it possible that Jerry drafts a FB in the 6/7 round? or looks to undrafted rookies? I really liked Zordich and Boren out of Penn State and tOSU. Both are team leaders who can also contribute right away to special teams as well. Other FB I liked are Zach Line out of SMU and Braden Wilson from KSU. Thoughts? |

I would probably go for signing Chapas, if the Lions don't re-sign him.
- He got to play in a couple of games for them I think, so he now has a bit of experience and he's also familiar with the team.
With no 7th rounder and only one 6th, I would prefer not to look at a FB in the draft. If we do, I would take Boren I think, but not that sure on FB's.
But my number 1 choice is still keeping Vickers. |

I still think McSurdy could fill the spot effectively for as much as we use it. Not like we're that successful with one anyways. _________________

If we are going to spend a draft pick on a FB I'll take the kid from Harvard. |

I'll take Vickers over anyone available. Nothing wrong with the guy Dallas just needs to use him. _________________

Exactly. Seeing that he's been a healthy and successful player everywhere else suggests that it's a scheme and play calling failure rather than an issue with him as a player. If the play calling improves, his play should improve as well. _________________

YES to Zordich!!!
PSU bias aside, the guy is tough as freaking nails and I really like Boren too.
But anyone turning down Zordich in the 6th round is a nutjob. He is at he very least a special teams monster. We had "Zordich Watch" at Beaver Stadium every kickoff because literally he would lay someone out about 40% of the time and that is no exaggeration. _________________

zach line is not a full back. he is a running back.
that being said a fullback with our offensive line is vital to running the ball with success. using a draft choice on one does not seem to be necessary. just keep vickers. |
