Ertz's weigh in was disappointing for me, I think Eifert goes before for sure right now cause his short arms. They both have been closely rated.
Escobar had the longest arms of the TEs measured. |

Tennessee signed George Wilson to a 2yr, 4mil dollar contract. I wish we could have landed him. _________________

He is around 32 years old though, him and Mikell would make for some old safeties. I think the Rams are going to end up addressing FS through the draft.
There is a reason he was cut, wasn't living up to his pay anymore. |

Lacy checked in at 231lbs... Yikes.
Warmack in at about 315...
Patterson checking in under 6'2"
Allen at just above 6'2"
Hunter in at 6'4" _________________

I think you're putting a lot more weight into it than NFL teams do. _________________

Arm length is important for a TE and blocking in the NFL, it doesn't mean everything but is important to look at all the information. I didn't say we shouln'td draft him, his arms are smaller than I expected is all.
Terrence Williams has small hands that doesn't make him undraftable but sure doesn't help his stock.

Patterson was 6' 1 and 7/8" but he also put on 10 pounds, I am interested in seeing his 40 time at his new weight.
OG Cooper weighed in at like 310 lbs, the added weight will definitely close the gap between him and Warmack in my opinion. |

the fact that Eifert actually is putting up better 40 times helps him as well. Eiferti s solidifying himself as the #1 TE in the draft. |

So Lane Johnson put up the second best 40 time ever for an OT at 4.72, only bested by an Ark-Pine Bluff dude that ran a 4.71. _________________

And as I said, I think you're putting a little too much stock in it. Doesn't matter if you have longer arms if you stink at blocking. Ertz did himself no favors today. And I do hope Eifert is drafted as the 1st TE.
I doubt his hand size will make that much of a difference, he doesn't have issues catching the ball. _________________

With Lane Johnson's performance at the combine, we'd be lucky to grab him at 16. _________________ Adopt-a-Ram: Brian Quick - 11 receptions, 156 yards, 2 TDs |

Tyler Eifert has been very impressive.....perhaps mocking him to us at pick #22 is starting to look reasonable. _________________

Dion Jordan just lost a ton of money. Poor guy is going to undergo surgery that puts him out 3-4 months. Might not be a bad mid-late round pick, depending on how far he slides. _________________

I really like Eifert as a pass catcher but don't see us drafting him. Like Jrry has said how many times run successful multiple tight end formations? Now how many run multiple wide receiver formations There's way too many good receivers to pass on one for Eifert.
Even if I do think Eifert is probably the best pure pass catcher in this draft. Would I be upset if we drafted Eifert? No if Schotty can get creative I think he can be a 1,000 yard receiver in the league and an immediate impact guy but drafting a receiver would be the more conventional way to go. |
