| You guys got to remember we drafted Iupati on pure upside as we'll as Aldon Smith. Justin is three inches smaller but is about 280 and Watt 290. Leverage is a thing you can teach. We also want a replacement for smith. This guy is big enough and strong enough with proper coaching to do what Justin does. Also Kaepernick is 25 and everyone seems to love him. We didn't get Justin until he was 29ish so age really isn't a factor for me. Most of our starters were picked because of potential, a lot of them were thought of to be just another player and look how they turned out. |

Waaaay different circumstances. Iupati was considered the best OG prospect in a long time. Aldon, while raw, produced really well at the college level and was only 22 when we drafted him. Justin was the fourth overall pick in his own draft and was pretty productive for the 7 years he played in Cincy. Kaepernick is a QB and has been playing this game since he was a child. Margus Hunt is almost 26. He's been playing football for only 4 years now. He got half his sacks this year against a freshman RT. He's more of a speed rusher than a power guy. I know he's strong, but he doesn't play like it. His best fit is probably as a LE in a 43 defense. He'd make a terrible 5 tech. _________________

Reminds me of Clifton Geathers on the Bengals I think...Mammoth of a man who gets alot of praise for potential. _________________

i would most defiantly take him in the 3rd, maybe the second, just because of his FG block capabilities. imagine if he blocked a kick in the superbowl _________________

3rd round for sure but I'd still pounce on Datone Jones in round 1 anyway. _________________ Welcome to the 9ers Q!
