I'm starting to warm up to Hunter again. He is a raw, but if we add a premiere veteran I would consider taking Hunter at 23. There is no denying his upside; and in an offense with Adrian, Rudolph, and said vet, he would see a lot of single coverage that would help ease his transition to the NFL and ideally, it accelerates his progression. Not to mention he is an instant redzone threat. _________________

I'm with you. I'm warming up more and more to Hunter. He is exactly the type of WR that the Vikings need. His stock is going to go WAY up at the combine and I would not at all be surprised to see him go in the top half of the 1st round. _________________

Walter Football Current Pre-Combine:
Vikings:
#23 -- Johnathan Hankins, NT, Ohio State
#52 -- Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
#83 -- Bacarri Rambo, S, Georgia
#99 -- Kiko Alonso, ILB, Oregon
#117 -- Zac Dysert, QB, Miami of Ohio
(Dont like the final pick) _________________

I agree with you on Dysert. Not a fan. If they are going to take a mid-round QB in the 4th, I'd hope that it's someone like Landry Jones or Tyler Bray that were to fall to them in the 4th. _________________

| If Matt Barkley or Tyler Wilson fell to the Vikings in the second round would anyone else have a hard time passing on them? |

Wilson, yes, Barkley no. Barkley isn't that great a QB, but Wilson has a lot of potential and a big arm, and has shown up nicely in the past, he had a down year, missing time and with the whole Arkansas team struggling, but Barkley on the other hand has had his stock drop each year. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

| I LIKE Hunter, pre-combine, not in the 1st round. 2nd round sure that would be great. Just kind of surprised, pre-combine, he was in the Top 10 Big Board. That is all. |

There were a few people that really like Hunter, which is why he ended up there. I've seen most "experts" don't even have him as a 1st rounder, so I left him off my board. But, even if he were considered a 1st rounder, I still don't know if I'd have him very high on my list.
He doesn't have a great build, and his injury history is worse than Keenan Allen's considering he tore an ACL just a couple of years ago. Furthermore, I just don't envision him being the "explosive" receiver the Vikings need. I'd certainly think about him if he were there for the Vikings' pick in the 2nd rd, but definitely not in the 1st. _________________

I've been wanting Hunter all along for the Vikings. Every time I mention it all I hear is "he isn't a first round receiver". I think he's exactly what we need at the wr position. |

Whats the difference between Rodgers and Hunter (on the field)?
I think Hunter does rise due to the combine.
I think Hunter is worth pick #23
I like Hunter, but rather go with Da'Rick Rogers with pick #52 _________________

I'm in the "let's trade down camp". I don't necessarily want Hunter at 23, unless he blows up at the combine. I'd rather take him between 28 and 38.
I'm down with Short, Vaccaro or Minter/Brown at 23. |

Rogers is a physical receiver in the Brandon Marshall mode.
Justin Hunter is, physically, similar to Randy Moss. _________________
