I like him as a #2, an upgrade over Michael Jenkins and Jerome Simpson. |
Id take anyone at this point, but his knee issues are a concern. _________________

I thought breaston was awesome when he played in AZ and then going to KC was just a black hole for players. I think he could be a great number 2 somewhere, but whether that is in MN or not, I am unsure. _________________ "ARMY AVIATION: HIGH ABOVE THE BEST" |

Breaston is another slot receiver. There's no need for him. And if he can't get on the field with the WR chart in KC, I don't know what more needs to be said about him. _________________

Taking production, age, and value into the equation, yes, I would. I'd take him over Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin, Brian Hartline, Dwayne Bowe, Greg Jennings, Stevie Johnson, Mike Wallace and DeSean Jackson. So, the only players on that list that I would take over Gibson are Marshall, Green, Cruz, Harvin and Fitzgerald. The rest of them are too old or too expensive for their production.
I see Gibson as the perfect age and the perfect fit for Musgrave's offense. _________________

I agree, except for Hartline. Hartline seems like a good fit as well. He could be a solid #2 along with Harvin and hopefully a WR that we draft in 1 of the 1st 3 rounds..
On your list, Gibson is my number 2 guy over all those others as well.. |

I thin Dwight said he still wants to start. if he wants to come in and be a part of a rotation I'd be all over it for the right price. Run 4 DEs for third and long situations. _________________

I really don't see the logic in this. DE is probably the spot we need the least help at. There are far better ways to spend cap space. |

Freeney would be unlikely to come to the Vikings, although there certainly is the connection with both Frazier and Williams. He is 33 years old, so while wanting to start, he'd likely be in a rotation no matter where he goes. He's a part-time player at this point in his career. _________________

If Freeney came cheap I wouldn't mind it.
He and Griffen are in the same mold. As long as Freeney's body holds up, he could make our DLine far more effective.
but looking at the age of our Dline, both Jared Allen and Brian Robison are in their early 30's. You'd have to imagine in 5 years they'll have dramatically slowed down.
Do we bring in Freeney, and if we do, should it only be a one year rental? _________________

3. Keith Rivers |
Seriously playboy? |
Id like to see him in a Cover 2 type scheme, rather than the down hill type schemes he has been in with the Bengals and Giants.
The reference is great by the way |
Idk. This may not may be fair, but every time I think of Keith Rivers, I think of Ward lighting him up on that block. Don't know how good he is in coverage.
oh and the obvious reference. good times _________________

If he comes cheap I wouldn't mind.
On paper, we are set but last year we did go through stretches when our pass rush was non existent. Also, it sounds like the team wants to limit Jared Allen's snaps. Freeney could be relief for Allen while allowing Everson to continue moving around the field. If I had to guess, I doubt it happens but I wouldn't rule out adding another pass rusher. _________________

Scrabbles future will be decided today. If he released he becomes more intriguing. May still not be affordable, but he won't get a mega contract. _________________
