Don't blame Ball for not going. Guy has a ton of film on him and a ton of mileage on those legs already. He's had a tough year, starting out with getting jumped on,resulting in a concussion. So why risk injury at this point?
He's probably preparing for the Combine, where if he pulls better numbers than some think in drills, could maybe improve his draft stock.
moving on.....every year weird things happen in the draft and good players fall from where projected. The Pack have benefited from this with players like Bulaga.
As strange and as unlikely it is to happen, 2 possibles at this point as LBer Olgetree (would love to see Bears draft Te'o and allow him to drop to us) and WR Keenan Allen. |
I really love Ogletree, dude is physical and fast. |
I thought I heard he has off the field issues tho... _________________

I am not surprised and no one else should be, those players did not go to school to go to class, they went their to sign a NFL contract. We all know there are schools out there like that. Why is anyone surprised?
They way they recruit I am sure they will have a lot of talented players and very good team again next year. |

Like him a good deal more kicking him inside.
And please refrain from discussing race. Thanks. _________________

FWIW he was just arrested for a DUI.

And its not like this is his first off field incident he has been in trouble. He's been busted a couple times before and missed games because of suspension. This most recent DUI makes me completely uninterested in him. To be doing stupid stuff like this before the combine is idiotic and I think it kills whatever chance we had drafting him because TT isn't going to stand for it. |

I think Ogletree is now off TT's board, and he's most likely now a Bengal. _________________

That DUI did not help that young man for sure when you look at his history. Still say he goes day1 though and pending interviews will stay on most all boards. This is a nice class but Ogletree is clearly one of the better pure talents. Still a little raw, but if he played a premium he would go very high more years than not. Even more so in todays NFL. _________________

| Palmy, you said that the biggest need for the Packers is a tone setter on D. Who are the tone setters in this draft ? (Floyd,Ansah,Jefferson ??) |

Think I would pass at fit. Lacks the length/athletic ability to play outside and the take on skills to play inside. One hell of a ST's player though. Wonder if he would be willing to pull a Korey Hall also? _________________
