Greg. Toler.

Seriously. Arizona has three starting CB's on their roster (Peterson/Gay/Fleming) and Toler will want to play, he is not going to be guaranteed a spot in starting or even in the nickel package right now. He has the connection with Horton and Cioffi. He is a very, very good fit for what Horton wants to do (Man Heavy, Physical, Tacklers).

I can see him being one of Hortons priorities going into 2013, sign Greg Toler, start him opposite Joe Haden.

He's not good enough to start in Arizona, but he is good enough to start in Cleveland? Sorry but I hope we aim a little higher than a 28 year old never was

Schefty said to look out for us this offseason as we pursue players like Kruger and Wallace....

Isn't that a direct contradiction to what our owner said a few weeks ago when he said we will not be players in FA this year?

Didn't Haslam also talk about no drastic changes or something similar to that?

Except that he was good enough to start in Arizona; We used 5 defensive backs a lot and Toler when he was healthy was the outside corner opposite Peterson. He had a Hamstring issue this season that limited the number of snaps he could take, and was unable to play early on in the season.

All I was refering to was the fact he is a FA and he will likely want to go somewhere where he is guaranteed a starting spot rather than coming back to Arizona where he is going to be fighting for that role with two other starting caliber players.

Believe me I would much rather have Toler in Arizona as the starter rather than elsewhere in 2013, but I have a feeling we may let him walk to roll with the younger Fleming and the already under contract Gay.

Just for reference, my metrics in 2012 had Toler at 13 catches allowed on 41 targets, 5.43 YPA, 2 INT, 1 TD (Deep ball on which he tweaked his hamstring).

If you don't want him fine, but metrically Toler was outstanding in 2012.

DO't we get a pick from the eagles for trading that UDFA Safety?

Oh and any idea when compensatory picks will be awarded?

We should, but until there is an official list, I was gonna leave it off.

Browns PR man. About as official as you can get.

Compensatory picks are usually awarded during the league meetings that are scheduled to take place March 17-20.
