To anybody that knows more about our roster, I am asking is Lamar Holmes on track to be ready to start next year or we looking at a busted draft pick I am curious because if he would be ready to take a tackle spot then we could do alot more with free agency and the draft? _________________ The Most Interesting Man In The World Once Said " I don't always play Clemson but when I do I use my second string quarterback!" |

Did the NFL change overnight? Since when can a pick bust in year, considering he never played? _________________

First of all I was asking if there is a chance he gets to play this year coming I am not saying he is a bust but if he can't break the starting lineup this year or the year coming then yes regardless if he plays or not after year 2 or 3 then he is a BUST! regardless of the circumstances a 3rd round draft pick can have 1 year IMO but YEar 2 he needs to be on the field in a backup manner atleast if he is not then yes captain he is a BUST! And IMO if a guy doesn't play year 1 and doesn't play year 2 he is a bust! _________________ The Most Interesting Man In The World Once Said " I don't always play Clemson but when I do I use my second string quarterback!" |

Realistically, Id love for us to have a stop gap LT for this year. I always saw Holmes as a long term project. If he is ahead of schedule this year, then great, but honestly, I just hope he is ready by 2014. If he isnt ready to start by then, then Id call him a bust. _________________

Devils i agree I will give him this year atleast in a back up manner then next year he needs to be starting if not I am giving all the blame to TD he reached first of all for him so I hope TD is right about him! _________________ The Most Interesting Man In The World Once Said " I don't always play Clemson but when I do I use my second string quarterback!" |

He should at least be active for all the games barring injury IMO. It shows that the coaching staff has faith in him to play and be the swing tackle if need be. But a lot of our lineman are very versatile with Hawley being able to play any interior OL position and long snapper and Johnson being able to multiple O line positions and tight end in the jumbo package.
I'm actually hoping he's ready to start this year. There should be a spot for him at RT or LT if he's ready to take it. _________________
