Not a fan of the Revis deal. Id maybe trade a 2nd and a 4th but not an numero uno. _________________

It would take at least a 1st... and TB would have missed out on both Milliner and Banks and there's noone to trade down with for a guy like Rhodes. |

I like Hopkins in the first. I think we'd be more likely to go for a safety to pair with McCourty in the second than a cornerback but our secondary could use work all over, so I wouldn't be shocked.
But I don't understand spending a third on a QB. We just did that two years ago and Mallet seems to be coming along just fine. Unless you think the Pats are going to trade him for a first or second rounder (not impossible given this QB class but I kind of doubt it) we've got much big needs (pass rushing DE, deep threat WR, SS, possibly another corner, depth depth depth) and we don't have that many picks. So I don't get it. _________________

Agreed, although I would rather have Tavon Austin in the third. I'm not sold on Tank more than I am not sold on Reid. |

28. Denver Broncos- Matt Elam, S, Fla
One bad play doesn't make safety the biggest need this offseason. Moore has shown great growth for his rookie year to this past year, give him another season before tossing him out. Jenkins would be a good pick here, our bigger DTs will be FAs this offseason.
60. Denver Broncos- Margus Hunt, DE/DT, SMU
Not a horrible pick, still not in love with him as a prospect though, a little bit older and limited football experience. Would love Long here let Franklin move inside to guard to with Kuper's inability to stay healthy.
92. Denver Broncos- E.J. Manuel, QB, Fla. St
This pick shows a complete lack or research at all. We have a guy who is pretty good as a starting QB and just spent a second rounder on his backup/future replacement. No excuses for this pick. |
Pick 1: I agree. I think that it should be Desmond Trufant instead. CB is a bigger need, as is DT. Moore will get better, and it may be time to see what we have with Moore and Quinton Carter starting together.
Pick 2: Don't know a whole lot about Hunt, but from what I hear, this kid should be avoided before Round 3.
Pick 3: I don't think we will get Manuel. Buffalo or Arizona could take a flier on him in Round 2. For the Bills, Manuel would be a better prospect than Nassib, who this mock has them taking. I heard that the Bills don't even like Nassib that much. |

I'd give the New York Giants draft an 'A' grade. I think they'll work with the DL in free agency and look for some young talent at LB and OL early in the draft. Ogletree and Faulk could probably come right in and start if need be. _________________

I'd rather live with another year or sub-par CB play than pay a 28 year old coming off of major knee surgery QB money. _________________
