Shaggy - Starlite - Bryant/Bilukidi - Houston.
Thats with cutting Kelly, Seymour's contract is up, and resigning Shaggy to a mid-sized 2-3 year deal with incentives.
Even if we don't draft another defensive lineman, we still have Carter, Crawford, etc. Maybe we could sign a decent FA rush specialist, and our line could be much improved. |
The problem with that group is we are playing two LDE again. Yes, I understand the theory behind having a "3rd down rusher" but this is a passing league and teams are throwing more and more on 1st and 2nd. until we have a true RDE that can get pressure with some kind of regularity, we are going to struggle imo. |
Star in my opinion is the cream of the crop this year. However, it will be much easier to grab a productive DT later in the draft then a pass rusher. This is the best DT class I have EVER seen. Moore and Werner are not my favorite players, but if we're not trading down then they or Jones (assuming Allen/Tarver envision a Von Miller like impact) have to be the pick. |
imo, star is 34 de a la Ngata (but not of the same quality of course). I'd rather have jesse williams for less yet more accomplished in a tougher conference. easy. |
I agree. I'm all for trading down, aquiring more picks and grabbing a DT that will be just as good as Star.
BPA is the way i like to go, whether that's a DE or a LT. _________________

They get the ball out so fast, and when they do have pressure, the guy (Johnny Manziel) just runs all over. When you factor (Joeckel’s) movement and intangibles, though, it does not get much better.”
• “I am not sold on (Syracuse QB) Ryan Nassib’s arm strength. He has really short arms. He’s not a great runner, but he is one of the better pure passers I have seen. He’s better than Kirk Cousins.”
• “(South Carolina RB) Marcus Lattimore is tall and a little narrow-hipped. He is tough and the kind of kid you root for, but I thought he was a third-rounder before the injury. Now I don’t know if he gets drafted.”
• “(Miami FB) Mike James is a big, heavy running back — not a fullback. He played fullback as a courtesy to the kid. He’s not big or strong enough. He started at tailback but moved to fullback to keep on the field. He’s too small for a fullback.”
• “I was down on (San Diego State TE) Gavin Escobar as a blocker after watching the Boise game — he flashed and didn’t work his feet. Then I ended up watching three more and thought he did a lot better. He’s an interesting guy, especially with the way this league is trending.”
• “(USC C) Khaled Holmes has very good size like Peter Konz did last year. It wouldn’t surprise me if he were drafted to play guard. (Holmes) uses a lot of finesse. I thought he had some trouble snapping the ball in the games I saw. He didn’t get it back very quick and some (defensive linemen) got on top of him.” |

Escobar I think will be a steal this year. Great size and catches the ball naturally he really impresses me _________________

Khaled Holmes sucks. He's not strong enough to succeed in a power blocking scheme in the NFL. _________________

KC will go Geno at number 1, got a strong feeling
.... then LT goes number 2, leaving us a straight choice on the best available defensive player, who that is though I am yet to decide |

Jaguars' Eugene Monroe is a quality LT that's only 25. _________________ 2013 Mancrush: DT Richardson, OT Joeckel, FS Vaccaro, FS Rambo, WR Dobson, RB Michael, TE McDonald, OT Foketi, WR Swope |

We have a new draft thread thats been going on for a while. No need to bring this one back and split the same discussions. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong
