He could never pick up our OL system, I suppose. He was embarrassing to watch. |
Yeah whenever I watched Eagles game he looked terrible. You think he can be salvaged or is he a lost cause? |
I, for one, definitely think he can be salvaged. I think the team that acquires him will get him at a great price and he'll be motivated to succeed.
I anticipate the Chargers, Dolphins, Bears, and Cardinals all take hard looks at him in free agency. _________________ FF's friendliest poster |

As a Bills fan, I never thought he was. A number of Bills fans were pushing for him to be re-signed so the Bills wouldn't have such a huge hole in LT going into the draft, but I always wanted us to let him walk unless he'd sign really cheap.
He was really bad for a couple of years, and after a lot of hard work, managed to become serviceable. And that's all he ever was. Then, due to injury, Hairston got to play, and he was pretty bad at first too.
But he got himself up to the level Bell had been playing in far less time, so I felt he had much more potential and should be our starter over Bell. And either way, we could have used an upgrade, so why worry about keeping him, when he was likely to be #3 on the depth chart after the draft. |

Can he play RT?
I always thought he was a good LT for Buffalo so I was surprised when he struggled so mightily for the Eagles. I wouldn't mind him replacing Vollmer if he were to leave and if he is able to play RT (hence the original question) _________________

At least Harris was an UDFA. Free is a bigger problem since he's well-paid. _________________

I get it. He was never "fantastic", he was serviceable, and occasionally "good", but he was never, at any point, fantastic.
He's a good depth guy, but he really shouldn't be starting, ever. _________________

Didn't Free play RT? Philip Rivers had to live with Mike Harris protecting his blind side. If protecting is actually the word used to describe what Harris did. _________________
