How do you rank the starting positions
I am curious to see what we value as to who is most important to a teams success. It was actually harder than I thought it would be and I’m still not sure if I feel strongly about my rankings. I did group both guards and both OLB’s together.
1. QB
2. LT
3. DE (1)
4. #1 CB
5. SS
6. RT
7. FS
8. DT (1 tech)
9. DE (2)
10. #2 CB
11. #1 WR
12. C
13. MLB
14. DT (3 tech)
15. TE
16. G (both)
17. #2 WR
18. OLB (both)
19. Slot
20. RB _________________

I typically think of it by position groups.
1) QB
2) DL
3) OL
4) WR/TE
5) DB
6a) RB
6b) LB |

4. S
5. DT
6. RT
7. CB I am really starting to question the value of cornerbacks and think I much rather have valuable safety's. Alot of the recent real good teams that have made it to the final 4 or superbowl have had above average corner play and with this day and age QB are throwing it all over the yard no matter what I think a pass rush and cover linebackers and safetys are real important. |
