Instead of having a thread for everyone (like Titus Young) lets pool them all here.
The Steelers cut Chris Rainey. We're not exactly hurting at RB, but he's a good fit for our offense. I'd rather roll with Vereen but you know Urban Meyer is getting a phone call.
Also, Kyle Vanden Bosch is getting the axe in Detroit. I wouldn't count on him to improve the defense, being old and mediocre, but he'd be fine as a Trevor Scott replacement.
And according to PFT, Steve Hutch might be a cap casualty. Brian Waters 2.0? _________________

No to Rainey. He has a bunch of issues. Though Rainey is the guy that burnt bridges. He bashed Brandon Spikes to media. Bashed Urban Meyer. I dont even think Belichick considers it. _________________

Rainey got dumped because he's a scumbag. I don't see any way the Pats consider him
Vanden Bosch doesn't offer anything at this point but on name recognition alone will get a bigger contract than the Pats should hand out to their (projected) #4 DE. Some team with a bad GM will give him a few million, it won't be the Pats (hopefully). |

Yeah, don't see it happening. _________________ Shut up, NBT |

| Quote: | Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the team will part ways with linebacker Bart Scott, linebacker Calvin Pace and offensive tackle Jason Smith in the coming days or weeks. Per Mehta, the moves would clear $27.7 million in cap space for the Jets. That’s crucial space for the Jets, who stand more than $20 million over the 2013 cap with those three players on the team.

Jones is really bad, I don't see him sticking anywhere. Though, the Jets seem like a natural fit. |

Definitely was going to post the same thing. Gets us a starting duo. Why was he cut was he due some big bonuses? _________________

Agreed. Wilson would be a really nice fit. I'd prefer him as a #3 safety to replace Chung but he's better than Gregory, so a starting role would be tolerable. |

Is Wilson good enough against the run to play in the box instead of a linebacker on passing downs? If so I'd love to have him aboard. I honestly think the team's biggest weakness right now is LB on 3rd down.

Although, doubtful he is. |
Yeah, his career's over.
Also, word on the street is that Chris Gamble will be cut. Might be a lower-cost alternative to Talib. EDIT: He's only 29, so much for lower cost... _________________
