Haha just stirrin the pot my man. I actually think he'd be an ok option as a backup, but I don't want to get into a bidding war with a QB desperate team.

In an unrelated topic, Malcolm Jenkins is on the block for the Saints. I've always been a fan.

We need to finalize which RFAs we are tendering and what level tender for each.

You mean George Wilson, right? The more options we have, the better. I've seen Wilson have dominant games before but then he kinda disappears. Another decent safety added to the FA pool though.

Oops, yes Wilson. Embarassed

Quinten Mikell is also on the block, I've talked to the Rams about it and I like what they said. I've also talked to the Saints about Malcolm Jenkins. pm me if you're interested in hearing details.

I just went through the trade block thread and these are some names that jumped out at me:

Jets CB Kyle Wilson (no compensation listed)
Bears WR/KR Devin Hester (no compensation listed)
Saints RT Zac Strief 5th rd pick
Bucs WR - Arrelious Benn late rd pick

Also there's discussion in the general thread about whether the Cousins trade should be voided based on the fact that we were utterly robbed in the deal.

These are my thoughts, let me know if ya'll agree.

You cannot tender like that.

You have three levels:
Lowest - Right of First Refusal / Original Round (if the player was drafted and they sign a tender sheet with another team, you can choose to match the tender or get a draft pick in the round they were originally in; if they were a UDFA, you only get a chance to match ... if you decide not to, you get nothing)

Middle - 2nd round (the compensation is a 2nd round pick regardless of their draft status)

Highest - 1st round (compensation is now a first)

That's correct. So that means under the lowest tender the following would be the compensation:

Darrel Young - None
Brandon Banks - None
Logan Paulsen - None
Nick Sundberg - None
Chris Baker - None
Rob Jackson - 7th rd
Doug Worthington - 7th rd

I recommend we offer the lowest tender to Young, Paulsen, Sundberg, Baker, and Worthington. I'd offer a middle tender to Jackson. If someone wants to pony up a 2nd for him so be it.

Jackson is not an option. He's an unrestricted free agent. I think Worthington might be an ERFA (exclusive rights free agent).

EDIT: Check that. Worthington's still on the roster: http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5998/doug-worthington

EDIT 2:
http://www.spotrac.com/free-agents/nfl/washington-redskins/
Our RFAs are
Baker, Chris
Banks, Brandon
Paulsen, Logan
Sundberg, Nick
Young, Darrel

Only one I might consider middle tendering is Darrel Young.

I like Zac Streif but I think that he is approaching 30.

I like kyle wilson. I would snag him up for depth.

Dont want Devin Hester, but if someone really tried to convince me...

I think that our WR's are good where they are at.

Zack Streif will be 30 when the season begins, but he is an upgrade over Polumbus and Compton. I think having all 4 of them at our disposal makes for a solid tackle group with of course Trent Williams. It wouldn't make Rt such a big need in FA or the draft.

I agree with you about Kyle Wilson he'd be good for depth and can compete for the nickel spot and I definitely don't want Devin Hester.

I agree with woz, we should middle tender Darrell Young and just sign Baker, Paulsen and Sundberg or match the offers that they get which I don't think will be much.

I think that I am going to roll with this unless anyone has any objections?

I am going with resigning Fred Davis.

I have also considered the restructure of Garcon and Williams. That is going to free up around 7 million in cap space.

If anyone has objections please let me know.

I also have a trade on the table that consists of our 2nd rounder but we acquire a FS and a RT that are both upgrades to our current personnel.

If you want to know about them please pm me.
