Eventually with he will be a cap casualty, if we are fine for money for a year or two, and no FBs fall to us that TT likes in the later rounds, he will probably play out his contract.

You lost me at bleacher report. I'm not sure I've read an intelligent article on there. All shock value.

The salary cap will be just over $120 million. Let's call it $120 million. A $2.6 million cap hit is 2.16% of the salary cap. That's 1/46th of the cap.

I'm perfectly fine with GB paying John Kuhn 1/46th of the salary cap--he's worth it.

Compared to James Starks or Djuann Harris? Sure. Compared to Kuhn, or even Alex Green? Not at all.

I don't think he's lost any skill as a short yardage guy. It's just typically blatantly obvious when we're about to run with him.
MM loves those God forsaken FB Dives. Felton had a ridiculous number of them at the probowl.

We're paying Kuhn the 3rd down pass protector, that's about it.

But considering that far and away the hardest hits on QBs in the pocket come from blitzers who the back has the responsibility to block, and since keeping QB1 healthy ought to be a major priority for this organization, I think it's totally worth $2-$3m for a quality pass protecting back who can do a few other things.
ABSOLUTELY worth it. I'd pay him if he couldn't do any of the other things.
