Same with JJ, the injuries worry me |
Ansah has injury issues? |
Pretty sure he had an issue with them | Not that I know of. He played in every game he was active for. Unless he has an injury history before playing football (he only started playing in college), he doesn't have anything like that. |
Idk what DE I was thinking of |
Maybe one of the FSU ones, Jenkins or Carradine? |
Its not Jenkins, maybe its Carradine |
only time Tank was hurt is when he blew his knee out. |
Could have been thinking of Dion Jordan, who just had shoulder surgery. _________________

Truth be told, i think there's the potential for some real upside with a few of those 'injury sliders' in this draft. Obviously quite risky, but grab the right guys and there's potential for huge value with some of them.
Some of the guys are just really scary though. Jarvis Jones, obviously. And a guy like Mike Mauti, the Penn State LB...would be a great add, but man his knees are seriously busted. Would have to fall quite a ways to be worth the risk i think. There's some value to be had out there though, gambling on some of these guys getting healthy.
Tank Carradine, strikes me as potentially one of those guys. _________________

The more interviews I read and hear from our new GM and HC, the less likely I believe Star will be our pick unless we can trade down from #2. An edge rusher or, *gulp*, QB is a lot more likely.
I hope it's a rusher! _________________ People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

2011 Gabbert-No coach, No receivers, no line=worst in league
2012 Gabbert-Still no coach or O-line but he gots dem recivers!!!

Everything Caldwell has said leads me to believe that Gabbert is probably the guy in 2013. _________________

I wouldn't fault him at all for going forward with Gabbert+Henne/other.
If i were in Caldwell's situation, i'd take the potential 'free pass' on giving Gabbert one last year to do something. Unless i was absolutely completely and totally sold on a QB in this draft...
Basically...i think Caldwell's situation affords him a bit of leeway in that he's not the guy who selected Gabbert. If he still doesn't pan out...it's not really his fault. And if i were a brand new GM in that situation, i'd much rather take the 'gimme year' with Gabbert hoping something sparks...rather than tie myself and my career as a GM to a guy i'm not completely sold on at QB. Fair or not, GMs tend to be viewed heavily in the light of their high QB selections. _________________

How salty would Eugene Smith, Mike Mularkey, Jack Del Rio, Eugene Smith, and co. be if Blaine Gabbert wins us a few Superb Owls? Or even just one? _________________

The saltiest. The absolute saltiest.
Heck, even if he just got us above .500. _________________

Let's not be greedy. Winning one championship is an amazing feeling. I would seriously be fine with winning a Super Bowl and then going 0-16 for every other season. The feeling of winning that one championship and the following year is that good for me. _________________
