Champ, any leads in regards to who the ACTUAL offensive line coach will be?
Side note, part of this staff may be up their in age but these guys are old school coaches. They aren't going to put up with a lot. I expect us to be more physical and disciplined in many key areas.
Funs over. _________________

Stump Mitchell was one of my father's favorite players growing up.
Obviously, he's thrilled about this. _________________

I thought it was kind of cool, too. Obviously, this further increases the experience of the staff...which is really quite impressive. _________________

Interesting there is no"Oline" coach. BA must have a lot of belief in Goodwin at that job as the only way to get him from the Colts was as the OC.
As for weak I like getting these college HCs in, should be great for the younger players. _________________ Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Got this little tid-bit from the latest Darren Urban article:
"There will be plenty of coaches to build that around. Arians’ staff will number 21, four more coaches than the previous staff of Ken Whisenhunt. Arians’ theory was to split the salary of a spot or two to bring in young, hungry coaches and keep down the size of the groups in meeting rooms."
So this explains the initial lack of bigger name coaches - but then BA goes and adds plenty of experience after this initial strategy to balance the youth on the staff.
This all makes sense to me - one of the issues we have during practices is not enough reps to go around and even guys standing around doing nothing without enough coaches on top of the situation. I assume this also happened in some meetings. So - the strategy BA took makes sense - I sure hope it works. |

Todd Bowles is slated for an interview tomorrow and Tom Moore and Amos Jones will do interviews on Friday. I'll post all the interviews so we can discuss our first impressions of our new staff.
Here's Goodwin's first talk with the media as our offensive coordinator alongside Bruce Arians. This is a must read so you can get a more clear idea what kind of coach Goodwin is and what he brings to the table.Tell me what your first impressions are.

| Quote: | | “At that point in time he was handling all the breakdowns for us and coaching the offensive line,” Arians said. “He was doing two or three jobs at once. I can think (of) four or five times he asked me ‘Hey, what do you want to call this coverage?’ For an offensive line coach to have that expertise, you knew this guy had a future more than just being with the guys up front. |
| Quote: | | “It’s only a matter of time until he’s a head coach.” |
| Quote: | | “With Harold’s leadership up front, there’s gonna be a high intensity level. I have to use my correct words,” Arians said with a smile. |
| Quote: | | Arians reaffirmed that he’ll be calling the plays but said Goodwin will be in charge of everything else offense related. |

I know this isn't super relevant here but...
Pro Football Weekly@ProFootballWkly
Per @GeoffMosherCSN, Billy Davis will be the #Eagles' new defensive coordinator. Was the #Browns' LB coach the last two seasons.

More FO related but Jurecki said we just hired a highly regarded capologist to help with our salary situation right now. Apparently (according to MJ) he was one of the original designers of the new CBA. Sounds like that genius money guy the Steelers hired last year. _________________
