i actually watched some of the game yesterday, on and off. it was fun seeing Viking helmets and players on most every play or screen shot, and they all contributed to the win.
HB Adrian Peterson ran five times for 13 yards.
FB Jerome Felton ran four times for 18 yards, including a late 3-yard touchdown.
PK Blair Walsh hit field goals from 48 and 26 yards and eight extra points.
DE Jared Allen had one solo tackle and a quarterback hit.
LB Chad Greenway had two solo tackles and recovered a fumble.
TE Kyle Rudolph caught five passes for 122 yards and a touchdown to earn MVP honors.
T Matt Kalil played extensively at left tackle.

Rudolph was awarded the MVP, having his name put on a trophy that bears the names of players like Otto Graham, Chuck Bednarik, Ollie Mattson, Johnny Unitas, Big Daddy Lipscomb, Jim Brown, Fran Tarkenton, Gale Sayers, O.J. Simpson, Walter Payton, Dan Fouts, Reggie White, Bruce Smith, Marshall Faulk, Jerry Rice, Peyton Manning, Larry Fitzgerald and Vikings Ahmad Rashad, Randy Moss and Peterson. The only other tight end to take home the trophy was Kellen Winslow of the San Diego Chargers in 1982 seven years before Rudolph was conceived.
Rudolph: There were a lot of great players that deserved this more than I did. To receive this honor to have my name on the trophy with those past players its a dream come true.

From what I saw yesterday, granted I didn't watch too much of the second half, Kalil played most of the time at RT, at least early. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

I saw Kalil at RT and he got beat badly by I think Cameron Wake.
I'm really glad Rudolph got MVP. He's a great player for us, and my gosh I really hope Christian Ponder was paying attention.
Its nice to see everyone get into the action. A lot of people overlooked us this year, and they overlooked us when we made it to the playoffs, but this really shows a lot about this Vikings team. Hopefully we can increase and numbers and productivity in the probowl for years to come!
A few nice things I noticed.
1) The first completed pass in the game was from Peyton Manning to Reggie Wayne
2) Jeff Saturday and Peyton Manning shared their last snap together.
3) The intensity of the game was much better. _________________

Both of those were very nice moments I thought. Great way for Saturday to go out. I still don't think he should have been there, but that's cause I wanted Sullivan there.
Kalil did struggle from the left side, but I gotta be honest, switching from one side of the line to the other is not all that easy. It take a bit of time to adjust. It's do-able, but I know that when I would switch from side to side during a season or in between weeks or whatever, I couldn't get settled in for at least a couple of weeks. I could play, it was just a little uncomfortable and I felt just a hair slower than normal.
He didn't do too bad tho, considering he left Friday morning, right? _________________

Thanks VD.
As I was putting it together, I actually was thinking to myself, I really think VD is going to like this one. _________________

It was a joke from the post game show if you caught it. Victor Cruz referred to Kyle Rudolph as Kyle Randolph. |
