Resigned:
- Shields
- B.Jones
- EDS
- Crabtree - competes in TC for roster spot
Retired:
-DD
-Saturday
Restructured:
-Woodson
All other key players are retained
FA:
- Steven Jackson - 2 yr deal
Draft: We are awarded a 4th for Flynn
RD1. Kawann Short, DL, Purdue - Short is a big, physical, high motor player. Short will give us nice depth and talent an will be the heir apparent to Pickett. With Worthy coming off acl surgery depth is needed IMO.
RD2. TRADE - TT sees a guy he loves fall a bit due to injury and trades our 2nd and 3rd. Barrett Jones, OL, Bama - Jones will compete w/ EDS for the center job and probably win. Either way we greatly improve the o-line depth and talent.
RD4. Chris Harper, WR, KSU - Gives us depth w/ the departure of DD and Jennings
RD4. Christine Michael, RB, A&M - TT finds a mid round rb that he believes has the talent to go much higher, but due to injuries he falls. Michael gives us a back to develop for the future.
RD5. AJ Klein, ILB, ISU - Klein would give GB more depth and a possible replacement for AJ Hawk in the future. He's flown a bit under the radar at Iowa State but he's a solid prospect.
RD6. Zeke Motta, S, ND - Motta can come in and compete and add depth. He's a very hard hitter, the enforcer type we've been missing.
RD7. A QB
UDFA - Definately bring in a kicker. _________________

| Motta won't last until the 6th but he's my pick for a mid-round Safety. I wouldn't be surprised if Klein slid down though. Iowa State players tend to slide down the boards either because of bad pro-days or because they question the pedigree there. If it weren't for Iowa having a legendary program, a bigger school, and much more money, ISU would be a much better program... |
