lmao i love how no one answered this but ill play along and the answers no. If we were close to a Championship and if our CBs were a problem id say yes but we cant even get into the playoffs. I feel we can win with McCourty Verner and Campbell its just we have so many other issues that we need our first and second round picks to plug D and O Line help along with some Saftey and LB help. We need our picks and trading Britt isnt gonna bring us Revis

I'm gonna say this one time and one time only. The answer is a definite "NO". Why? Because he demands entirely too much money for a guy who keeps having health issues every other year. Anybody who keeps threatening to hold out and demands as much $$$ as he does shouldn't be allowed to have injuries. Sure he's probably the best shutdown CB in the league, but it means nothing when he's on the sidelines in street clothes or doing documentaries on his medical journey.
I'm not against us upgrading at CB, but we're not hurting at that position to try to make a reach like that anyway. It's our SAFETY positions that's badly in need of an upgrade. If we're looking for another CB, we can find one in the 2nd or 3rd round of the draft.

He wants 16 mil a year and has no assurances he can come back as good as he was before ACL surgery.

I am a big believer we need a #1 CB, but as others have stated:
1. The Jets are currently asking to much for him.
2. He wants way to much money per year. Not how you build winning teams.
3. There's no guarantee that coming off an ACL injury he will come right in and play at a high level.
I did have a dream that I met him and was talking him in to joining the Titans though. Odd. |
