Round 1
Jarvis Jones OLB Georgia
Jones is a top 5 talent but teams picking in the top 10 will be weary over his medical condition and for good reason. Spinal Stenosis is a serious condition for a professional athlete. The condition could affect Jones’s longevity in the league but if a player of Jones’s caliber falls to the Saints at 15 it would be a risk well worth taking.
Round 2
-Rodger Goodell decides that the Saints complied enough for him to reinstate their 2nd round pick.
Brandon Williams NT Missouri Southern
This guy is soaring up draft boards right now and is being touted as a young Vince Wilfork. Williams was simply unblock able at the Senior Bowl practices and possesses the perfect skill set and physical stature to develop into a dominate 34 NT.
Round 3
Jonathan Cyprien SS Florida International
Cyprien is a big physical ball hawk with playmaking ability but what really stood out at the senior bowl practices to scouts were his tremendous leadership qualities.
Round 4
Keith Pough ILB Howard
Extremely vocal and emotional leader of a defense who fly’s all over the field using his size and athletic ability to make plays from sideline to sideline.
Round 5
Melvin White CB LA Lafayette
Big physical press corner that has the ability to develop into a quality starter on the edge, a major sleeper prospect.
Round 6
Nico Johnson ILB Alabama
Johnson will never be a star but he will be a solid role player as a big run stuffing 34 ILB much like Vaughn Johnson was for the Dome Patrol back in our hay day.

I love Melvin White, guys going to be a stud. I'd love to see us take a flyer on Jelani Jenkins in round 4 though, he's super athletic an would be a 2nd round prospect if it wasn't for injury concerns. _________________

It depends on what type of 3-4 we run but I could see Jelani succeeding in a mainly coverage ILB role. He's also a good blitzer as he has a great first step and he sheds blocks well for a guy his size, I don't think he'd light the world on fire as a starter but I think he could succeed in a nickel LB role _________________

Man Harp... I can't wait for the superbowl to be over!!!
I think Payton has ledgit intrest in Crennel/Mangini but he will at least want to talk to the assistant coaches from the Niners and Ravens before he makes his decision. Maybe one of those guys blow him away? I think a real dark horse for the job is Ted Monachino.
Either way, I want Sean to take his time and hire the right guy but I can't wait to finally find out which direction this scheme will be heading in!!! _________________

Definitely agree. He can take all the time he needs if it means we finally have a good defensive coordinator! _________________
