Shoot. I'd give up two 1st rounders for Revis if we could handle him financially. |
i dont see why we couldnt. if Tony is gone, Dunta gets cut and we dont re-sign Grimes. we should be able to make it work. as long as he doesnt want a Mario Williams type contract lol |

COMPLETELY AGREE with this thread! I know we need a youth movement at the DB position. I would like to either:
1) acquire a DB in free agency that his coming off his rookie deal (Sean Smith or Mike Jenkins) that would fill the hole by the Robinson release
If we were to do that, our draft could go DE in first, TE or RB, in second, etc.
OR
2) spend a high (1st or 2nd) draft pick on a DB (a pick that we haven't spent in the past 5 years by the way)
If we were to do that, we acquire a TE in free agency, then go DE in the first or second respectively |

What do the Falcons save if they cut Dunta?
With post June 2nd designation, they save $8,000,000 in 2013, $9,000,000 in 2014 and $12,500,000 in 2015.
Without post June 2nd designation, they save $4,600,000 in 2013, $12,400,000 in 2014 and $12,500,000 in 2015.
It's time to let him go and use the money in future years for someone who is better. |
On Rotoworld, it says that $3 million of Dunta's 2013 salary is guaranteed. I didn't see any reference to that on Spotrac. If we release him, wouldn't we have to pay $5.8 left in bonuses and $3 million for his guaranteed salary?
This stuff is always confusing. |

NO to Mike Jenkins. he is not good at all. i would rather start McClain. but im ok with Sean Smith. |

Cut Dunta. Resign Grimey. Pick up a TE or RB in FA. Draft a CB in the 2nd or 3rd round. Draft a DE in the first. We are wasting way too much money on Dunta. But if Grimes wants too much cash then I say why not go for Revis? _________________

I would like Robinson to be released he is overpaid hasn't had a int in how long goes for the knockout causing lots of missed tackles, Mcclain is better at covering so IMO he is a nickel corner making #1 corner money .
Release him and use some of that money to keep grimes or get a FA like Sean Smith or Tracy Porter so we can play more man to man coverage hopefully in the Draft we sure up our DE's and our OLB position to get more pressure! This is all we need to be a Super Bowl contender next year!! _________________ The Most Interesting Man In The World Once Said " I don't always play Clemson but when I do I use my second string quarterback!" |

I think we could restructure Robinson and Resign Grimes since Grimes will come a Lil cheaper that before. Grimes Samuel Rob and McClain is pretty legit. _________________
