I think the time Rivers yelled punt the ball Norv is when that relationship ended. _________________

I think that was probably part of the terms when he got hired. Everythign said they wanted somebody to be a HC, not an OC/DC. _________________

Well he wasn't my first choice but everyone else seems to like the hiring. I guess I will see what he does and who he hires before I start hating him. Two unknowns at both GM and HC should make for a very interesting off season and eventually training camp. _________________

Think he was overrated as a coordinator and was too conservative, but he's much better than Arians. Hope we get a good OC and though I wouldn't mind if Pagano was kept, I'd rather the headcoach be able to pick his staff. He might want Pagano, but I feel him staying was forced on him. _________________

Good hire.
I'm surprised Arians wasn't chosen. _________________

Its not like Telesco and Arians had worked together for a very long time, it was one year, and I'm sure Telesco going another route should say something. _________________

McCoy's strengths as coach is adapting to their strengths and weaknesses. He seems to have a good relationship with all of his players, was well liked by the Denver brass, and he communicates well to his players and to the public. I'd watch his interviews on on the Broncos site, and he just has a certain confidence and conviction when you hear him speak. I hope he does well here, just not when he faces Denver (kind of sucks to see two of our coordinators go to division rivals-Allen and McCoy). _________________

Not really surprised with the hire, considering all the buzz....
Really liked to ear him talk and think he has a greast presence.
Amazing how he dominated that presser, and the empathy he created with the reporters.
Also like how affirmative he was when asked about bringing someone in to groom behind Rivers.... _________________

None of them have made any mistakes so far.
Great time to be optimistic. They've got my hopes up, let's hope they can deliver.
I'd be interested in everyone's thoughts on the OL coach. It seems he did a great job in Buffalo, but I've read varying reports about whether it was his coaching or just the talent level on the OL in Buffalo. |

A little late, but still new enough to discuss.
For the past 6 years I have been indifferent/disappointed. I can honestly say that I am no longer indifferent and actually have a bit of excitement going into the new season.
Out of all the possible listed candidates, I liked McCoy. To start, his age was something positive. A younger, new mind is something I have wanted for a while. Being young he is not another failed retread. Plus he has a nice resume to get a hint of insight from.
The GM does not disappoint me either. Again, another shot at youth and not a failed experiment given another chance.
I thought getting Whiz might be the biggest plus. Mostly failed as a HC, but possibly not his fault. With his HC experience and great history as a OC, I think he will be able to help McCoy in more ways than 1.
The other positions of new hires I know little about, so I have no problem with them considering that we were not good for so long. I don't see any of the replacements as a risk of being any worse. I can live with a break even trade.
This whole thing could go down in flames, but until that happens, I am pleased with the moves. At least AJ and Norv are gone, and that is what I have wanted for many years. Beggers can't be choosy, I guess. _________________
