And it was not an issue was it? If he played in the 290's that is fine. Why is there such a fascination around having to be 310 to play tackle? |
Specifically for Potter? Run-blocking... |
He is never going to be a drive blocer in the running game, but then again neither is Duane Brown or Ryan Clady. Potter has athleticism and technique on his side to help create lanes in the running game. _________________

Brown & Clady are 315+ and elite pass-protecters. Can't bull-rush them. _________________

Nate Potter anchors well too. Sets his feet, sits down and anchors.

Quote: | 21 – Pass, 1 v1 with what looks like #93 (unsure), start to get bull rushed early, but then anchors and stops the pass rush in its tracks, pass complete to Housler |
Quote: | 32 – Pass, playaction, 1 v 1 with #96. Potter anchors well, and does not allow the bull rush to gain much ground. Pass complete to Roberts for a first down. |
Quote: | 4 – Pass, 1 v 1 with #93. Begins to get bull rushed then anchors and holds ground very well. Pass incomplete to Roberts |

Size, strength, nasty etc
Putting someone outside him (Fluker ?) and then moving him in, not necessarily a bad idea. |
That's not a bad idea although personally, I'd flip-flop that. I'd keep Massie outside and move Fluker inside. Fluker could be a nasty RG. |
I've thought that myself - Fluker's measureables remind me of Carl Nicks. |
