Bolded are who I will be watching closely. I could see Ansah tearing it up and elevating his stock well out of our reach which would suck.
I will be watching if Okafor can get around the edge against cream of the crop competition. If he looks stiff out there I am going to become a huge hater.
Man, Michael Williams would have been the absolute perfect TE in the Mularkey days, but now he doesn't fit the system at all. _________________

Okafor got around the edge on a couple of guys - Kyle Long was one. Also had a nasty bull rush on Long in the team portion. However, when it was best on best against Eric Fisher it was a clear win for EF. However, based on what I saw today Fisher isn't getting past the Cards at #7 (he was different class to all the other North OL) so struggling on one rep I can live with (and he stayed active with his hands which was nice).
Otherwise, the guys that stood out were Kawann Short (will always look good in this setting as he has motor/conditioning concerns so limited reps suit him) and Dantone Jones from UCLA, who looked very quick off the edge for a 280lb guy. If Okafor/Ansah are gone, wouldn't mind him in the 2nd.
Margus Hunt was disappointing, and the Missouri Southern Williams was very blah as an athlete.
PS - If Nassib goes to Buffalo at #8, everyone in the building should lose their jobs. _________________

Margus Hunt might have to put on some weight and play the 5 technique. _________________

He will be long gone.
Pugh and Wagner from the North
Aboushi and maybe Warford or Fluker from the South.
I'm hoping for some reason Dallas Thomas lasts until 2 and we get him but its unlikely. Dude can play either G or either T. _________________

Update to my previous post.
Okafor vs Fisher today (Okafor owned other OTs, but I don't care about that - most of them are marginal prospects:
Rep #1 - Bull Rush; drove him back into the QB. Maybe not a sack but some significant pressure.
Rep #2 - Bull Rush; Fisher re-anchors nicely. Not a pressure but would have kept contain well.
Rep #3 - Bull into Shuck/Inside Move - Fisher stands up the bull, then moves his feet really well and drives Okafor to the ground.
I was an Okafor fan before but I still think he's helped himself this week. He's never going to be JPP/Ware but he can be what Ray Edwards was supposed to be (6-8 sacks, strong play against the run, good contain). While I might not take that at #3 overall, I'll take it at #30.
---
On another note, Larry Warford now isn't going to make it to #60 (he's been far too good this week).
I wanted him SO much to help the run game. _________________

I don't at 30 we need a game changer if there is one out there I don't want to settle for a 8 sack guy in round 1 If there is no other DE out there that is better then we need to get a RB or TE !! Go get Lacy in round 1 at #30 then go get chase thomas in the second _________________ The Most Interesting Man In The World Once Said " I don't always play Clemson but when I do I use my second string quarterback!" |

I know a lot of guys aren't high on Williams from Bama, but that TD wasn't a fluke. He's been doing it all year. Id be willing with a 5th or maybe even 4th rounder on him. _________________

Ziggy Ansah is dominating the North offensive line, I hope he doesn't rise to far up the board after this game Atlanta needs him!! _________________ The Most Interesting Man In The World Once Said " I don't always play Clemson but when I do I use my second string quarterback!" |
