Ctp I know in most situations with a young player you can say that but not in Jrats case. One of our cowboys forum posters pretty much summed it up.

All-time stupid.

| I can easily be wrong, but I always thought DUI or DWI was for driving under the influence of some kind of drug or something other than Alcohol, while the other was strictly for Alcohol. |

Just to Clear things up.
DUI - | Quote: | | Driving under the influence (of drugs or alcohol). |
DWI - | Quote: | | Driving While Intoxicated. |
For example, there is no DUI in Kentucky. The official term is DWI. The "I" (Intoxicated) can mean anything that can intoxicate you: drugs, alcohol, etc.
In summary same meaning different abbreviation. _________________

+1. I don't like DUI's, but this is correct.
It's not like he went and killed a dude (cough cough Donte Stallworth cough cough) |

He could have though. The fact that a teammate killed another teammate while driving under the influence makes this even more dumb/stupid.
There's no way the Cowboys keep him. Wasn't he the one that got into a shouting match with Jerry Jones? |

I wanted JRat gone anyway cause of his injury history recently and his drop in production PLUS his horrendous cap space hes killing.
Finally. We have a reason to let go of him. Jason Garrett definately won't tolerate this especially after the whole incident with Josh Brent and Jerry Brown.
Pathetic. He may have been a good guy before. Sure who cares. BUT honestly are we going to excuse him after HIS backup killed a guy on the team?
Guy needs to get away from football and figure things out. Our entire team went through alot with Jerry Brown debacle and he does this. Purely Pathetic. |
He'll go right to Jerry Jones and ask him what he's gonna do about it. _________________

Seriously I've never seen anyone as wrong as you all the time. The fact that you have knocked Skip Bayless off that perch has brought great shame upon this website. |

Well OK maybe Stallworth wasn't the best example. Still.....
He does something the general public does quite a lot. I would be OK with a small suspension (1-2 games) but a big suspension, especially if it is his first time, is not alright.
And BTW, I thought about using Ray Lewis in that example, but I think he's innocent, soooooooo....
Whatever, that's a whole nother can of worms! We'll leave that for another thread. |

Let's keep it to football, please. The Cowboys just had a former Pro Bowl talent arrested for DWI; How does this impact the team going forward? How will Jerry Jones - an owner who has already butted heads with Ratliff - react? Does this alter the plans of Monte Kiffin as he takes over the defense?
There are plenty of football-related comments to make in regards to this, so I challenge you to find them and expand on THAT side of the discussion.

Driving drunk is dumb but to be on the same team with a guy that ended up killing a teammate while driving drunk is even dumber. He's as good as gone now. _________________

Yes. NFL players are suppose to be role models. If they act like idiots, hand down justice. _________________

I don't understand why these guys can't just drink at home? Call up your boys and spend all night drinking at your own place. Want some girls? Fine, call some up and have them over...

After the incident a few months ago, this guy should be suspended and cut from the Cowboys at the very least.
These guys are millionaires and can't put the effort forth to get a damn taxi...smh _________________
