"I'm not a guard. Point blank," said Albert. "I haven't played guard since college. It kind of upsets me a lot. I'll be the first one to tell you. Sometimes it bothers me." Albert is dead-set on getting left tackle money on the open market. He added that he has yet to talk to Andy Reid or new GM John Dorsey, but says his agent and Dorsey have talked. The Chiefs could conceivably let Albert walk and draft a left tackle with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. | I cant see him leaving KC. I think they'll pay him. The best move for them is to let Dorsey walk or cut Jackson and take Star. They'd be crazy to use the #1 pick for a horizontal move. |

Agreed, but money always makes things messy.
I doubt he makes it out of KC. _________________ John Fox

If they don't and they keep Albert then they almost have to take a QB or trade the pick right? Don't need Moore IMO with Hali and Houston already there. Wouldn't need Joeckel with Albert and Winston. Who else fits up there besides a QB (which would be a reach IMO)? _________________

The argument that I think they will have is it worth paying Albert to stay with some of his injuries or do we draft potential studs like Eric Fisher and Luke Joeckel and move on?
They also have a 3rd round pick from last season Donald Stephenson who played pretty well at LT when Albert went down.
But the Chiefs are going to pick a QB #1 as they have nothing at the position and Andy Ried is a QB guy. _________________ John Fox

Reid also likes to draft mid round QBs and develop them. We'll get a good idea what's going to happen to Albert the week after the SuperBowl b/c they have to tag him by the 8th. _________________

They're not really that similar. DJ is taller, much more athletic and great in deep coverage. Briggs is more of a thumper. DJ is more of a young Urlacher. |
