I just dont see him as an upgrade over anything we already have _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

Yes but benji is the guy you send down the seam on a post route.
IMO he's not the guy you send to go run a 5 yard dig or hook route to get a 1st down.
Or better yet he is dennis northcut with better hands not brian brennin. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

But I'd rather bring Hartline in. A guy who sets a franchise record for receptions in a game screams possession receiver at a minimum IMO. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

I believe Hartline is FROM Canton as well. So it might not be as a hard sell to get him here.

I feel he is going to want a decently sized contract although, I have no problem with buckeyes, just few of them have shown they should be signed and played _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

I hope we get that kind of value this year at any position |
That's an instance of scheme being more important than talent.
Shanahan has been taking 6th round backs and making them Pro Bowlers for as long as I can remember. Morris had it easier than Terrell Davis, Olandis Gary and others because of the QB being a greater rushing threat than the RB.
Regarding WRs, I'd rather sign a vet. We have too many young WRs on the roster as is, and only need a decent free agent to fill out the roster at that position.
Keep in mind, we've already spent our 2nd round pick on a WR.
To spend another high pick on a WR would be pretty dumb. But then I remember who our GM/VPPP is, and get scared. |

Any WR we draft should be able to get vertical.
Tavon Austin comes to mind.
unlikely with our draft postions _________________

Like this WR class a lot. Would love to see Cordarelle on this team but can't see us going WR that early and to be honest it would probably be a bad idea not to go defense with first pick.
Keenan Allen
Cordarelle Patterson
Tavon Austin
Terrence Williams
Justin Hunter
Da'Rick Rogers
Robert Woods
DeAndre Hopkins
If any of those guys are still available coming up to the 3rd round, they'd have to be under BPA consideration and I'd love for us to get one. Another skill position player that I think is going to be great in the league is Gio Bernard, of course we aren't going to draft him but whoever gets him is going to have a great multipurpose back. |
