I wanted to keep Bevell over Bradley, and that's exactly what happened.
Glad they're not breaking up Wilson's success. _________________

Like that we brought Bevel back, didn't agree with some of his play calling but he did a good job with Wilson this year. |

He had some games where he sucked and some where he showed he could be a good play caller. I don't have a problem with this. _________________

I think this is a good move from a continuity stand point. A lot of us, myself included, have had issues with Bevell's play calling throughout the season, but he has shown the ability to connect with Russell Wilson and that is a valuable asset in itself. I don't know what the statistics are for QB's who have multiple OC's early in they're career but I can't imagine that it would be good to go through so much change in the developmental phases of ones career. _________________ Consistent application beats complex programming. |

The only thing that could really ruin Wilson at this point is if we start going Alex Smith or Jay Cutler on him and giving him a new OC every single season. I don't love Bevell, but I love that we'll have our QB/OC connection for the next few years. _________________

Couldn't have said it better.
I've blown a gasket or two over his play calling at times. But he got better as the year went on and him and Russell seem to click and Russell needs the continuity to keep growing as a QB and reaching his great potential. _________________ L.O.B.- D!CK, BOOM BOOM, ET, BB. |

maybe after a year or two Wilson will have some input on the game planing, and it might not be as bad?, hopefully! _________________ ....

I didn't care to much for his play calling early on in the season i loved it when he started opening it up though. |

I'm not worried about Russell Wilson playing for multiple offensive coordinators. Jay Cutler is not successful because he is Jay Cutler. Alex Smith found success immediately with a totally revamped coaching staff. Nothing will ruin Wilson at this point. And frankly, this coming year will be the real test for Bevell. I want to see how they grow this coming season before I pass any judgement, but I was a defender of Bevell throughout the past season and enjoyed watching the offense develop. But now the offense will be operating at full tilt against defenses that will not be caught off guard by the Seahawks or Russell Wilson. The real test is coming. |
