Real concern with Crawford and Albright being thrown in the mix as starters. Almost argue that an OLB that pushes to start may be a bigger need in the 3rd then a depth DT. And that we don't a QB to develop that late.
1. Cooper
2. Frederick
3. Starting FS
3. Possible starting OLB
4. Gholston
5. Nixon
6. Depth DT _________________

Yeah, in a perfect world it would work out to where we find starters with each of our first 4 picks. But, I just didn't see an OLB I really liked in the latter part of the 3rd. Sean Porter of Texas A&M will likely be gone by then. I know nothing about Jamie Collins of Southern Mississippi. Jelani Jenkins of Florida was an option, but he seems more of a Will than a Sam. There was better talent at DT than at OLB, so I went that route. _________________

Both true points. Why I wasn't meaning to call you wrong. Just staying that it might be rough seeing us do the right thing and bite the bullet drafting two OL early. _________________

If I had a choice between Warford and Frederick I would take Warford.
Kejuan Riley and Cooper Taylor are lesser known safties you need to keep an eye on. I would even take Shawn Williams in the 4th. _________________ A circle. The direction the Cowboys continue to travel. |

Few Notes.
With Nutt being added, the Hillis pick makes a LOT of sense. I am a fan of most of the draft picks. Good work. _________________

You had me with the resigning of Ladouceur. Cowboys keep the Canadian. Outstanding. _________________ Northland |

I expected a response, but not that quickly. So we are adding more Canucks? _________________ Northland |

Rambo won't be on our board if Percy Harvin and Aaron Hernandez weren't.
I also think trading down is a convenient mock device, but not realistic. If the Cowboys have about 18-22 first round grades as usual, I can't imagine they'll trade back and risk missing out on one of those guys (unless it's an offer too good to pass up). Picking a 2nd round grade in the 1st round would be the reach. _________________

I would do the following with the original trade.
1-24 Ezekiel Ansah DE BYU - starts at LDE and moves to RDE after Ware retires
2-47 Travis Frederick C Wisconsin - starts at C
3-80 David Bakhtiari OT Colorado - replaces Doug Free at OT
3-86 Alvin Bailey OG Arkansas - starts at G and allows Free to move inside
4-111 Brandon Williams DT Missouri Southern State
5-144 Kenjon Barner RB Oregon
6-175 Michael Williams TE Alabama |
