lol... Just saw that quote. Guess we know what he thinks of Jerry Jones as a GM. | Jerry is constantly looking for a star. So they don't draft guys who have played STs much. STs is a real honest to goodness 1/3 of the game here. It doesn't matter whether you are a star player, or a roster filler, you better be able to play STs or you won't be here long. _________________

Jerry has a lot of faults. One of them was the 2009 Draft where he was quoted saying that we drafted for Special Teams. Honestly. That entire Draft. Special Teams. Feel free to get excited, but don't make crap up. Dallas fans are thrilled because his units have always been underwhelming and undisciplined. But, he is highly regarded, so I expect him to do well in Chicago. _________________

Wrong.
Dwayne Harris was a college special teams player of the year
Felix Jones was an SEC Special teams player of the year
Dez Bryant was a multiple big 12 Special teams player of the week
Our 2009 draft was labeled the "Special Teams Draft" - as every player we took was going to be a 'special teams contributor'.. FAILED <= Big time, too.

EDIT - Ninja'd by TO7.... | So one draft in how many years?? Does Brandon Carr play STs? Charles Tillman does. Does Anthony Spencer play STs? Corey Wootton and Izzy Idonije do. It does not matter how big of a star you are here, you will play STs...period. Julius Peppers has 14 career blocked kicks. In Chicago YOU WILL play STs. _________________

At one point our starting RB and our Starting WR played on Special Teams, yes. As did Newman, when he was our starting CB. Again, feel free to be excited – but fabricating things for your own agenda is not needed.
As a Dallas Fan, on behalf on our entire fan base, I really want to thank you guys for taking him. He is fiery guy, who comes in high regard but wasn’t able to achieve anything worth writing home about in his Stay here. We feared after having the building fall on him that we were stuck with him, but you gave us an out. This isn’t taking a shot – I really wish him well, but I am sure as hell glad he is gone. _________________

You do realize we have a different head coach and ST coach? Who knows how it will play out. I did find it funny, however, that he named two 1st round picks as Jerry Jones ST's players. |

Realistically anybody is going to be a downgrade from Dave Toub.

No offense, but maybe the Cowboys wouldn't suck if Jerry Jones wasn't a megalomaniac who's probably going senile. See: Al Davis. _________________
