Theres no defensive tackle worthy enough to pick with your first, oryour second round pick this year. Defensive ends come a dime a dozen, you can find a good olineman anywhere. Good defensive backs are hard to find, particirlly a play making nickel. You have to get them early. Outsidelinebacker, and athletic playmaker is hard to find late. Have to spend an early round pick.

Defensive tackle is very weak this year, not worth spending an early pick on if your Seattle. But guys like Spencer Nealy, and David King out of OU who are a little undersized, but are very very quik and disruptive will be there late.
So... You have no idea who Sheldon Richardson is?

Yea but thats the thing. He's no where near as good as Spencer Nealy who is a top ten football player in this years draft. Especially in this stage of his carreer.

Has the measurables, good straight line speed, but can he play footall?

ALso you guys would find your answer at right guard in Wisconsins Rick Wagner. Looks the part, plays the part. You can't throw him around because of his strong base, and posture. And he plays with an attitude.

Very nasty.

Pro bowl player mid 3rd, somebody will reach

1st round talent

This offense could really use an x factor. The defense could use a pass rush. Address both and we should contend for the Owl yearly

If by xfactor on offense you mean a HoF Guard, I am complete agreement.

Someone. Brought up Tate in another thread. Did he sign a 3 or 4 year deal as a rookie?

I don't think we'll be major players in free agency this off-season, but I could see a few modest signings. With the NFL's new collective bargaining agreement, each team is allowed to carry over extra cap space from the previous year. Seattle will need that financial flexibility in order to extend and re-sign our own young core players, due to be free agents in 2014 and beyond, such as Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Golden Tate, Earl Thomas, K.J. Wright, etc.

2013 Unrestricted Free Agents (UFA):
DT Alan Branch
WR Deon Butler
DE Patrick Chukwurah
K Steven Hauschka
OLB Leroy Hill
DT Jason Jones
K Ryan Longwell
WR Charly Martin
TE Cameron Morrah
OT Frank Omiyale
CB Marcus Trufant

2013 Restricted Free Agents (RFA):
DT Clinton McDonald
S Chris Maragos
LS Clint Gresham

While i think our greatest need is a pass rusher on the D-Line i think we could use a weapon on Offense our WRs didn't look bad but thats because Wilson could extend plays for these guys sometimes they still couldn't get open even with the extra time.

Our offensive line play is so abysmal on the interior OL from Unger. I really can't think of a reason Guard wouldn't be our top offensive need unfortunately.

I think OG is easily our biggest need on that side of the ball. Our receivers are competent if not spectacular. I also really believe Golden has more to offer still, hes going to be a nice player for a while in this league, especially with a playmaker like Wilson getting him the ball when plays break down.

OG and DT are the need that MUST be addressed. I also think we need someone who can atleast push Red and give us another option.

RT and SLB would also be ahead of WR for me.

The team has enough weapons on offense, it has guys developing on the OL, the pass rush is decent but this team doesn't need a good pass rush to be successful. The secondary is the strength of this team so a dominant pass rush (like the Manning led Colts) is merely a luxury.

Run Defense is the only glaring weakness of this team. Run defense is what kept the Seahawks from beating the Falcons comfortably. The teams identity is also to be physical, so this draft I think has to be totally focused on being able to dominate the line of scrimmage. This in my opinion is the key to making this defense the undeniable #1 defense in the NFL next season.

Can we start a draft thread or something? I'd like to get going on potential draft targets.

I agree need to improve the pass rush the guard spots and a Nickel CB later in the draft i am just saying i am not content with our WR position though we need a game changing WR we don't have one.

10 things the Hawks need to improve on in 2013'.

1. Better playcalling on 3rd downs from both sides of the ball.
2. A new RG, (draft or FA). I think LG will be locked down by Carp next year.
3. Draft a WLB, I tired of watching old man Hill out there.
4. Draft a pass-rushing DT, or pick one up in FA.
5. Draft a DE, Clem's career is over. Crying or Very sad
6. WR is a need, Sidney is overpaid, Golden still needs to develop, and what happened to Dougie Fresh?
7. Release TRU he is a weak spot on that defense, so a Nickleback is a need.. (Maybe Thurmond can stay healthy?)
8. TE, we need a TE that can flat out fly, We need speed at that position, IMO.
9. WR (again), just because it's that big of a need on this offense.
10. A back-up FS that we can trust so we can slide Earl down to the nickle spot every now and then.

That's my top 10 things the Hawks need to improve on for the 2013' season.
