Very, very few quarterbacks I would take over Russell at this point if I was starting a franchise. Such a gigantic shame that the defense couldn't hold on to that one, that performance and comeback would've been remembered for a long time. _________________

Russell is going to be great for us for a very long time, love his attitude and his work ethic. We couldn't ask for a better person to be the QB of the seahawks and it'd be a shame if he didn't win rookie of the year. |

Votes came in before this. If the vote happened after the Superbowl, Wilson will be a lock but I think his slow start plus RG3's season makes Griffin hard to beat. _________________

This comes from a fan of a fierce division rival, but my full respect for your team, for what you did (to us too!) this season and for what Russell Wilson has shown all year long: I think that he deserves the ROY award much much much more than RG3 and than Luck.
Two considetration about it:
- he is making NFL scouts think again about the importance given to size when evaluating a QB
- he is contributing BIG TIME to makinf of the NFC West a QB Division: if Russ keeps playing the way he has played this season, if Kaep develops his potential, if Sam Bradford gets surrounded by a team...well, you do the math |

Wilson could have led the team to a Superbowl and still lost the ROY vote. That makes a lot of sense. |

Actually I disagree with the sentiment that yesterdays performance should have any bearing on the RoY vote. The award is based on regular season performance only. And being that the award is for the regular season you could make the argument that Griffin was more consistently good over the course of the entire season than Wilson. Obviously Wilson played much better at the end of the season and had a two fantastic playoff games, outplaying an injured Griffin. But as yesterdays game has no bearing on the RoY, neither does Wilson playoff victory. Personally, I'm happier to have Russell Wilson as our QB than Griffin, but I still think that Griffin should get RoY because he was more consistently better over the course of the whole season. If they took development into account for this award then Wilson would win going away, but this is a performance based award and Griffin was better early on and maintained that more consistently throughout the season. _________________ Consistent application beats complex programming. |

It's a regular season award.
But the bottom line is that if any Seahawks fans on this forum still are criticizing Russell Wilson and don't think hes the answer at QB, honestly you're a knucklehead |

That doesn't make any sense. Luck and RG3 both could have led their teams to the super bowl too. |

Considering Russell was not really allowed to do anything passing wise the first 5 games and RG3 was from game 1, and Russell STILL had 26 td passes should alone win him ROY. He's simply the best rookie. Luck shouldn't even be in the conversation. If anything he should be called a bust for putting up awful numbers and having the 2nd pick and 3rd rounder out play him. Wow he had a lot of yards...look at his attempts. I honestly think the Colts will be a bad team next season. 3600 total yards and 30 TDs for Russ, 100 QB rating, clutch comebacks, made the playoffs in the toughest division. I will be really mad if RG3 wins. He got hurt, missed a game and his team didnt miss a beat. So their "success" was not all because of Griffin. Wilson had the better season and is the better QB. Yeah I may be a homer, but luck and griffin were supposed to start and be successful. Wilson was supposed to be a back up and he ends up starting and becomes a franchise QB. How is that alone not deserving of ROY. My mind will be blown if anyone else wins it. _________________

They will give it to RG3 because the media gets off on him Luck gets a edge wit his 4th quarter comebacks. DangeRUSS has been getting knocked because we have a running gamewith Marshawn. So people say Luck gets the pass when it comes to that _________________ Go Hawks! WINTER IS COMING |

Wilson had an excellent rookie campaign.
Unfortunately for Wilson, RG3 had a historical one.
RG3 lead Redskins to an NFC East Divisional Title.
Neither Luck nor Wilson did that.
Not to mention the SB Champs being in same Division and Skins went 5-1 VS ALL NFC East opponents. Again...better than Luck & Wilson.
With the exception to Passing TD's, RG3 beat Luck & Wilson in every rushing or passing statistical category.
Not a few...not some...not most
ALL
A 50% at best RG3 marched down the field against that vaunted Seahawk Defense and posted 14 pts in back-to-back drives. He couldn't do anything, after hopping like a pogo stick.
Otherwise, Seattle goes home early.
All people know this...you know this & so do I
Redskins also posted the 4th best scoring Offense in the NFL.
best between Seattle & Indy
Again....no disrespect to Wilson, as he is going to be a very good QB.
Might even have a better Sophomore season if RG3 can't recover 100%.
But this season only
Their rookie years?
Wilson was fantastic
RG3 was historic
I won't even go into the talent difference in Seattle VS Redskins by comparison.
Seattle has a far better team overall and have been competitive in the West for sometime.
Redskins have been the doormat of the NFC East for 13 years. (with the exception to WC playoff seasons in 05' & 07')
So tell me again how Wilson should be rookie of the Year?
I do believe Wilson is #2 behind RG3, though.
Luck shouldn't even be in the top 5 of discussion, imo.
Anyways, good luck this off season.
Congrats to both our clubs for a successful season and bright future. _________________

Alfred Morris marched down the field on us. All RG3 did was sit in the pocket with limitless time and throw two TDs _________________
