No surprise here. After a season like Jones had, it would be foolish to not reward him with a pay hike and at the same time ensure he remains a Dolphins for the future.
I wish we saw more of our own draft picks showing up and maturing like Jones has.

I agree. I was surprised he lasted as long as he did in the draft that year. I thought he had real potential and thought Miami had missed their chance when they passed on him in round 5 that year.

Ha! My aggression towards Ireland is not passive. We should be finding gems like this all the time. This is the rare late rounder that has paid off. Even a blind pig finds an acorn from time to time.
