define "Hardest". I think from knowledge/complexity standpoint it would go:
1. QB(Obviously)
2. C
3. OL (rest of the OL needs to know everything as well)
4. MLB (typically the signal caller for the defense)
5. TE (Needs to know passing trees and blocking schemes)
I think physically though it's
1. RB
2. DT
3. ILB
4. WR
5. TE _________________

Taking into account the physical and mental aspects, I'd say
1. CB
2. QB
3. LB
4. LT
5. RB
I might get some hate for not putting QB number one, but corners have to be crazy athletic and mentally aware enough to be able to stay with receivers, which is damn hard. There's a reason there are maybe 2-3 elite corners, fewer than there are elite quarterbacks IMO. |

I think that CB got to be on the list just because of the refs. Its so hard to cover those ridiculously athletic WR especially with the refs throwing flags every time they make a big hit or a good play. just has to be frustarating _________________

I agree that CB has got to be on the list somewhere. If you're looking at it from a knowledge standpoint only, I can see leaving them off the list. However, CB's are a completely reactionary position. Quick thinking is a must, and the physical ability to change directions while you're already going full speed is tough to do. They don't get the luxury of a safety that gets to see what the quarterback is doing. They're watching the receiver's body language and trying to keep up with him. Not to mention the fact that if you touch the receiver's pinky(unless you play for Seattle), you just cost your team a ton of yards because of that ridiculous rule that it's at "the spot of the foul." I don't care if that rule benefits us once in a while or not, I've never liked that rule. Make it a costly penalty, but no penalty on just one play should ever result in a 40 yard gain for the opposing team. Ever. _________________
