Also, keep in mind that Dray and King are FAs after 2013, RFA and UFA respectively. |
King's a blocking tight end though. He catches 15-20 passes a year, tops. That's not Escobar's game.
I'm not against taking a TE, I'm against taking Escobar. A pass catching TE/another receiving weapon is the least of our problems. |
I guess I don't know Escobar. Was assuming he was a blocking TE who could catch some passes. If he's strictly a passing TE, that pick needs to be re-eval'd because we need blockers. |

Escobar is a better blocker than Housler. He's an all-around TE. I think when we lost Heap that was a big hit. We should go with more 2 TE sets _________________

Doesn't say much. Even if he is, he's a receiving TE first. We've got plenty of receiving options, it doesn't make our offense any better to add a 5th receiver. _________________

Utilizing more 2 TE sets in terms of receiving means 1 of Fitz, Floyd or Andre has to come off the field.
Obviously, that's not what we want to do. _________________

We're almost kind of being forced into a spread offense with the talent we have at WR. |

Looks realistic given our needs & payroll situation. Only question I have is w/o drafting a OC or bringing back Snyder who would replace Sendlein if he goes down? Colledge being released saves $ whereas we're paying Snyder 4M to go away. I know he sucks but it might make sense roster-wise & financially to cut Colledge but keep Snyder as a backup C/G with Kelemete or another rookie (Jones or Watford?) starting at RG opposite Warmack. _________________

We didn't receive a pick for the Jefferson trade, it was simply a swap of picks. We're not getting 2 comp picks either. _________________

Yes I also have been questioning myself on that one. When Sendlein comes back then it will be up to the coaches as to who is going to be the backup. Could it be Snyder or Wedige?? I never want to see Snyder at RG again. I looks up to stats and he is the worst RG in the league and or if we draft Warmack then we are a better view as to where we move forward. D. College is on the bottom of the list too. I don't really care who goes but the interior line needs to be fixed.
I also am wondering if we will have to move up from #38 to no lower the the 25th pick to get a QB. I have heard wispers (no I don't give out my sources) that 4-6 teams are looking to move up to secure a QB. Just wispers but sometimes that are true.
Will the cards have to trade there 2nd this year and a 2nd or first next year?? Don't know but it is sure fun to contemplate. |
