I've changed my stance on Okafor. I'd be all for him in the first round. As far as DT, I'm not sure. Maybe someone in free agency. |
I agree, Okafor at the end of the first wouldn't be a bad pick. I also think you could trade back and get a couple of 2nds and pick two DE's or one in the 2nd and 3rd. Sidbury needs to be cut. He isn't used and obviously the team has no confidence in him. DT is also a need but we just need a bigger guy that can play the run. That could be had in the draft or FA.
DE has been the #1 need for 3 years now. _________________

I think when it's all said and done Short could creep up and become a fringe first rounder. |
I think you haven't watched the defensive tackles in this draft play. I agree that he's a fringe first round talent. problem is, there's about 30 guys who are also there. _________________

Star, Sheldon, and Hankins are without the doubt the top 3. After that the talent is comparable, and Short definitely compares with the likes of Jessie Williams, Jon Jenkins, and Sylvester Williams. An effective interior pass rush is the most disrupting thing to an offense, so DTs like Short who have premium pass rushing ability may rise over space cloggers like the 3 mentioned above. _________________

Wouldn't be upset if we ended up with Okafor or Ansah. I haven't looked a ton into the DTs yet, so I won't bother mentioning anything there yet. _________________

I say get a DE in 1 and get that DT in 2
Maybe a trade up in the second for Kawann Short. He fits the bill of exactly what we need! _________________

I would if he would for sure head to ATL. Not worth the risk to tell him to get off my favorite CFB team. _________________

I highly highly doubt that Sheldon or Hankins falls. They are both top 10 talent.
As for Dion Jordan, I am very high on him, but a lot of posters here don't like him very much. He is raw, but he is so versatile and athletic. Definitely will be a project, but it is a project I wouldn't mind the Falcons taking on. _________________

What about Margus Hunt from SMU. Dude is 6-8 275. MAybe picking up a DT in free agency and drafting this guy. _________________

Dion Jordan is a fantastic player, but like you said he will be a project and this team doesn´t need projects, the roster has a lot of them. |
