We don't have the Oline or the kind of quick passing QB to work in his system. |
You know it's basically the same offense Palmer has been running his whole career except for last year. |
Please, stop |
So where did Hue and Palmer work together? That's right Cin |
Im failing to see how playing at Cin where Hue was the QB coach, is the same offense that Martz runs? |
Because Hue is an Coryell guy too. |

I'd rather have had Martz a few years back (2006 as HC) I do think we've got pieces to run it here, but I just think there are better fits...Don't know if Allen and Martz would have chemistry together. Palmer would fit but probably get injured. Moore and Ford wouldn't like crossing the middle, but as slots they'd have more space to manuever and YAC.
I think our TE situation fit perfectly.
McFadden I think would have his best season rushing and receiving but injury is always a concern...
I'd say draft Joeckel and slide JV to RT and our line would be better than St. Louis was. I'd probably try and get a C and put Wiz back at LG.
It would put a lot of pressure on our Defense, as quick scoring Offenses usually do. 1997 Jeff George played well but we'd score so quick the D got no rest...Run and Shoot D's got beaten down a lot and BALANCE is needed.
I won't be thrilled with Martz, but he's an improvement with good experience and I think experience is needed on our staff. The only question is EGO and chemistry. |

Seriously are you saying if they hadn't looked at him they would be clueless because you think he may be a good hire ?
Everyone saw how well Martzs offense worked at Chicago with a bad OL and only 1 receiver consistently good. |

I highly doubt McFadden would get more than 1,100 rushing yards next season in Martz offense. We're going to pass the ball 60 times a game with 7 of those passes going to McFadden if we hire him.
At the very least if we do hire him it only means that Allen and McKenzie will be fired within the next couple of years. _________________

Seriously. I would hate this hire with a passion. _________________

Same offensive philosophy does not mean same scheme/system. Hue did not call plays in Cin to my knowledge... He was the QB coach. So again, I fail to see how Palmer can be confused with playing in a Martz offense. Martz has a pretty unique offensive playbook that is really only used by him with regards to the extent he calls passing plays. |

That's like saying Bill Walsh was an Al Davis guy since he got his 1st job from Davis. _________________

Hue Jackson was Palmer's offensive coordinator early during his USC career too. Jackson was the coach that handled most of the Palmer recruitment and was one of the main reasons why he ended up at USC. _________________
