| You're far better just letting him take his own guy who knows his system in Nassib |

Sign Alex Smith to a 3 yr deal, let Nassib sit behind him and learn. I believe Smith can run Marrone's offense, just like Brees did. _________________

| What about a guy like Matt Flynn? He's has plenty of experience in one the most complicated passing attacks in the league with Mike McCarthy, has shown some success at the NFL level in his two starts against two playoff teams, and is still young enough at 27 to play a while with the lack of wear and tear he has. Its something that no one really knows about in terms of what would happen if he became a 16 game starter because a he's has great flashes, but has been stuck first behind Rodgers and then got beat out by Wilson, who clearly was better than everyone had given him credit for. He could be a veteran options available for a later round pick |

My gut tells me that Flynn got more hype than he may have deserved. Wilson has certainly played well for the season, but early on he was fairly shaky and Flynn still couldn't beat him out of the starting job. I'm not convinced he would be an upgrade over Fitz at this time.
Been playing a recording of the Pinstripe Bowl this afternoon, but have been busy doing other things, so haven't paid enough attention to the game. For those not familiar with the game, it features QB's Smith vs. Nassib. Gotta re-watch this game later. _________________

If we're taking a QB that is going to sit a year behind a veteran I take Tyler Bray. 6 foot 6 inches, can make all the throws. Most importantly to me, he is comfortable in the pocket. Nassib get very anxious after his first read. He gets happy feet, starts pumping the ball in his hands, and makes an anxious decision. That's extremely concerning for me. So many quarterbacks can never get rid of that. _________________

Ill jump on the Bray bandwagon. He has an elite arm and worked in a pro-style system. _________________

Reasons not to draft Tyler:
Has been called extremely immature, this past summer he was in court for purposely driving a jet ski close to swimmers and last season he was reprimanded for throwing beer bottles at cars in the parking lot of his apartment block. Seems to be a player who enjoys the spotlight a little too much and lets it go to his head. Very questionable athleticism and is never a danger to run. Does not like taking a hit and will often throw off his back foot and bail out on throws if he knows he is going to get hit. His accuracy is quite poor especially on short routes, misses his check downs and doesn't always connect on the simple swing passes. Needs to do a better job with his mechanics, can be lazy at times not squaring his shoulders and not completing his motion. Although he can avoid pressure, he still has some happy feet when in the pocket. Doesn't throw well on the move.Has been called extremely immature, this past summer he was in court for purposely driving a jet ski close to swimmers and last season he was reprimanded for throwing beer bottles at cars in the parking lot of his apartment block.
