Would have been nice to have a heads up on Cam Wake and Jerel Freeman. |
I still remember some of the hype around Andy Fanutz. Ugh... _________________ Bears :: White Sox :: Blackhawks :: Bulls

He was 6'4", that's all it took for receiver to be a god on these boards before we got Marshall. _________________ 👮

And yes Lloyd was crap when here, cuse he could not stay healthy at all, but i did have faith in him, just felt like a curse over bears WR untill Marshall came in to our lives _________________

Of course none of this can be proven at all. I swear 90% plus of all sports writing by "professionals" is focused around something negative or derogatory.
Writers need to get a life. _________________ "I have eaten burritos bigger than you." J.J. Watt to Ray Rice. |

Actually that's the problem - their life's work IS to write, and to do so in a way that sets them apart from the clutter to generate readership. With so much media now there are only so many rational and legitimate angles to be discussed. _________________

I'm not singling anyone out here because we have a TON of people on this Bears forum that have droned on and on about the media for years. Its one of the most obnoxious things about this forum honestly. I'm not telling anyone to like ESPN (I mostly don't), or Boers and Bernstein (most of the "media haters" don't) or any other journalist or multi-media source. The fact of the matter is that there are a number of very good sources and journalists out there that do a tremendous job and provide really good info. All the generic media bashing only under cuts any points you are making and are simply tired.

Evidently the Browns talked to 9 or 10 candidates and the Eagles are up to 9 so far. The Bears 13 is really nothing out of line. Besides, Singletary shouldn't count for obvious reasons and others seem like clear cut courtesy interviews for old colleagues (Armstrong and DeCamillis) and Toub earned one even if he isn't a serious contender. Much ado about nothing. _________________
