| I think he is the best available defensive coordinator, his philosophy fits what the Rams do on defense. He has also coached a 43 defense before. I hope Fisher gets him. |

Just for fun , I we do decide to run some 34....Jessie Williams form Bama in the 2nd to play NT (DT in 4-3) and put Brockers and Langford on his outsides? _________________

That could work. John Jenkins from Georgia is another option. _________________

We actually have solid makings of a decent 3-4. Question would be, could Long/Quinn be effective outside? Could Dunbar man the middle with JL? Can we get C.Dahl back to dominate the opposition!?
Either way, its most likely not occurring, but interesting to discuss. _________________

No, we need to stick to a 4-3 defense. I'm sure anybody we hire will be on board with that. _________________

William Hayes may not be a horrible 3-4 DE either if we resign him. Either way, the make up of our team as it currently stands works better for a 4-3.
I guess depending on how we do this off-season that could change. _________________

I only want him if he has an obsession with feet. That would make our GDT pure gold. _________________ Robert Quinn

I was hoping for the Jets to cut ties with Rex Ryan and for him to come be our DC, but I guess im not too upset with us getting Rob. _________________ Janoris Jenkins for DROY! |

Not a fan of this hire (if it does happen). Ryan's ability is vastly overrated because of his name and flashy persona...
Oh well, like others have said, it can't theoretically be any worse than Chuck Cecil or Dave McGinnis...
I think they'll keep the base 4-3 defense. Fisher is a 4-3 guy through and through and Ryan has experience with it. I do think they'll continue to mix in the 3-4 looks though that we started to see as last season came to an end. They'll be just that though, packages/looks, not a conversion to... _________________

I think changing the thread title would be appropriate, seeing as how we have not signed him. _________________
