If we do get Norv I just wanted to point out his RBs during his OC tenures:
1991 - Emmitt Smith wins rushing title
1992 - Emmitt Smith wins rushing title & Super Bowl
1993 - Emmitt Smith wins MVP, rushing title, & Super Bowl
2001 - Ladainian Tomlinson wins Rookie of the Year
2002 - Ricky Williams 1,800+ yards
2003 - Ricky Williams 1,300+ yards
2006 - Frank Gore 1,700+ yards
2013 - Trent Richardson behind a solid line will do great things! [/b] |

Plus, Norv had every intention of doing the same thing with Ryan Mathews. His plan backfired when Mathews proved that he was made of glass and showed that he was overdrafted. _________________ Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

I take Ricky baby.
But yes, based on this logic you can pencil in T-Rich for about 7,000 yards the next 5 years _________________ 3/18/17 predictions:
Jimmy G stays with New England this year.
We draft Garrett at #1 (out on a limb there).
We trade back from 12 for another 2018 1st.
We do NOT draft a QB in the first 2 rounds. |

Norv Turner = Trent Richardson Superstar
I DONT THINK SO!!!
I think it should be
Norv Turner = a top 10 offense with All stars all over the field!!!
Chud and Norv IMO is the perfect coaching staff for the Browns. The only weapon the Browns are missing is a legit TE.
Look at Norv, he loved having a Versatile RB in SD in LT and Mathews (when healthy), Athletic TEs, He likes big WRs like Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd, and etc, and a strong arm QB like in Rivers
well lets look at the Browns, TRich one of the most Versatile backs in the league. so Norv will love that. Cleveland might have a sleeper TE in Cameron but were not sure but the FA/Draft has some impact TEs IMO. The Browns have some big WRs in Greg Little, MoMass, and Greg Little, and Weedens best trait about himseld is his ability to throw the deep pass |

Hopefully this is the dumbest question of the day but after reading on PFT that we had hired Turner, I haven't since another definitive story about it since.
Is he actually a Brown yet? |

I've seen seperate articles over the past season saying that both Chud and Norv Turner are the among the best playcallers in the NFL. The thought of them both being on the same team, and that team being the Cleveland Browns, gives me chills.
I heard about this hiring this morning in my car, then about Turner joining him here, and literally cheered the entire way to work.

I think for him to ever become great he is going to have to learn to go down when the run is over. I'm not talking about pussout and step out of bounds early or anything like give up. I am talking about the numerous times I saw this year with guys drapped all over his ankles and him clearly not moving and inch yet still fighting with evey muscle in his body to get free. When there is less than a 1% chance of getting free you go down and save your body. There were more than several times he took some big blows because of unwarrented extra effort.
I hope he learns he will be much more of an asset to the Browns when he can give us 100% effort on 20 touches even if it means he has to scale it back to 95% on 5 other touches instead of 100% effort on 12 touches and 75% on 13 touches because he is now playing broken from the beating he could have avoided. _________________
