Said it in the other thread. 3m per for Chud, throw some serious money at Norv and a high grade DC and lets build a top coaching staff. Chud will only be as good as his assistants are around him.
The NFL is too high tech now days for 1 guy to successfully run the show year in and year out without some good assistants. (Yes there are a few who can do it, but let's face it, Chud isn't Belichick.)

Some people are acting like Norv is already signed. Not a good sign for this offseason lol.

As much as I like Jauron, I wouldn't call his defense "attacking." More like bend, don't break.

No surprise.
Haslam and Banner want a fresh start.
Fresh start don't usually begin with bringing back the same defensive staff.
Oh well, let's hope they find a solid replacement.

The thing that sucks about Jauron leaving, it every interview I heard with players towards the end of the year was basically players saying they would be pissed if he was removed.
I know alot of this is politics, but I seriously think they liked playing for him.

I just want a new DC who runs the 4-3.
I dont want to keep our defensive coaching staff, I believe our defense was very overrated.
If we do go switch back to the 3/4 you def see us taking Jones if he is there and he scares me because of his back but he could be a stud tho if he stays healthy

I hope not. The guy has never really coached up a QB to get the most out of his talent. The only legit QB he has ever coach was Ben Roethlisberger and those were his worst 3 seasons as a QB.

Well .. to narrow down the search in a way .. The browns are looking for an attacking 34 Defense that is aggressive like the Ravens, Steeler, and 49ers and so on..
A name that could be under the radar as well is Winston Moss from the Packers.. Raheem Morris, Bill Kolar, and Karl Dunbar.. I bet we will hear something.. But HC would be looking for is chemistry and a good working relationship.. So I keep going back to Keith Butler LB coach from Pukesburgh! |

There's another team who may be switching to a 3-4.

That just adds to my wanting of us to stay 4-3. So many more 3-4 teams makes it harder to find talent for it.
We are so close to getting the 4-3 right. Why blow it up now?
For those that say we have the same needs in either defense i just don't see it.
I don't think as many of our DL convert to the 3-4 as some do.
A Hybrid D i could live with but not a straight 4-3.

Wouldn't mind the 34 conversion and thinks we only need to add 2 pass rushers at the 34 ROLB spot to have a complete front 7 with depth
34 depth chart DS Style
RDE Taylor/Hughes
NT Rubin/Kitchin
LDE Winn/Rucker
ROLB Draftpick/FA
RILB Gocong/Fort
LILB Johnson/Robison
LOLB Sheard/Stephens
That and the melt on this forum with the switch over would amuse me.
