Pac16? |
He's clearly going on the assumption that Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech are coming. |
Wouldn't they want Baylor over Tech as they have a more competitive program in football, basketball, and baseball. Tech is medioce to poor in most sports. |
The Pac would probably prefer Baylor due to the academics, but the discussion last year was to bring Tech over. _________________

Emmitt very nice work on your sec draft. If we go 4-3 Porter would be an excellent choice at olb in the 3rd. Now that Chris Faulk has declared I would slide him into the 4th and pick him. He was the second best left ot in the sec before he tore up his knee. He tore his knee early in the season and should be ready to contribute by August. Dallas has been fortunate picking players with an injury. If he is a full go by August he could stay at left ot and we could move Tyron back to rt. That would clean up our tackle situation for many years.
That said let's change it up a little .....
1. Chance Warmack OG Alabama
2. Sharrif Floyd DT Florida
3. Sean Porter OLB TAMU
4. Chris Faulk OT LSU
5. Kwame Geathers NT Georgia (if we stay in a 3-4)
6. Brad Wing P LSU
Emmitt let me know what you think.. |

I like your 4 and 5 better than mine but I'd really like to get a running back in this draft and I believe Christine Michael would be great value. Overall really great draft. _________________

Okay, a little while ago I asked if you guys would be interested in Cliff Avril. The general answer was that he didn't fit the scheme, but at that time you guys looked to be retaining Ryan. Now that it is nearly guaranteed you guys switch to a 4-3 (and that Spencer is basically gone), would you guys now be interested in Cliff Avril? _________________ I <3 Kate Upton and Ezekiel Ansah, just FYI

Is he a FA? If not, then no. Scheme change and cap issues will keep Dallas away from trading picks. _________________

I still wouldn't give up the pieces that you proposed earlier on, no _________________

He is a FA - and no we wouldn't trade for him and the Lions won't tag-and-trade as it'd be the 2nd tag and cost them nearly $13m which they can't afford _________________

You are already $1.1m over the cap including your rollover and nobody will give up anything for a guy you have no leverage with since you can't afford to keep him at 13m _________________

I still wouldn't give up the pieces that you proposed earlier on, no | Yeah, it was a crazy trade with a lot of peices going between teams.
My hope is that we use the non-exclusive franchise tag, and someone signs him. Obviously, we'd negotiate the picks given to us because I doubt you would give up 2 first round picks for him. I was thinking around a 2nd. _________________ I <3 Kate Upton and Ezekiel Ansah, just FYI

You don't ahve $13m to do that and nobody would trade you anything for him | We can clear up a lot of money through cuts, restructures and extensions. _________________ I <3 Kate Upton and Ezekiel Ansah, just FYI

Good luck with that - lookign at your team numbers you'll only have 43 players under contract and your top 3 would be very tough to restructure and still have 2-3 years left to extend _________________

That looks pretty good. I'm a fan of Jenkins, but we wouldn't really have a SOLB. Is that how the Tamp 2 works? _________________

The Tampa 2 needs speed and lots of it. The two outside backers have to cover more ground in the Tampa 2 than regular Cover 2. It relies heavily on gang tackling so getting another LB who runs well and tackles well is paramount.
I really like Gerald Hodges and Kasheem Greene. _________________
